I remember driving to the game with my mates more in hope than expectations. It even started to rain at the beginning of the game, and I did wonder.

On the TV, when it pans out after Kidd scores I can see myself in the crowd (near the back) celebrating.

Went on the pitch at full time, half of Coatbridge were on pitch. Sadly a few of my mates are no longer with us. But what a day!

The money I saved on Mars bar bets at the pit was huge 3 full boxes of them and a good few bottles of vodka and whisky.
One of bhoys M Donnelly would’ve paid out nearly 20 bottles and a fu shift at Mars. He was so drunk at Leven gowf course on the Sunday after A Kidd day he fell of the bridge at the first tee into the burn.
We ended the night in the Gunners night club
Thank feck we had the Monday off.

What a day that was. It all went wrong for the diets.
