Ibrox players caught breaking Covid rules.....Edmundson and Jones.

Thats what people are led to believe do not know if the media are putting their own spin on it but a statement has to come out from the horses mouth so that Aberdeen players and Boli can recieve an official apology for the shite that came their way and the way the media attacked their clubs in wanting games and points taken.
can we no get a comment from Gordon @Bankrupt but still got all the gear it bought, just like sevco@ Smith

im sure his comments would be most illuminating

Not one pundit or jurno will ask for the same punishment dished out to Aberdeen or us ..The Scottish government coming out with that nonsense is disgusting..But then again Jason leitch (same guy who stopped Corpus from playing) went to Airdrie Academy so we know where his loyalties lie..If it was two celts , press would be screaming for action..Celtic need to come out demanding action !!!

Timeline is important and the timeline here there was no Government commending and in the story the hun board are aware, so before the media broadcasters come on the airwaves the story becomes swift action and commended. Ten is a party of people

Further details have emerged of the late night flat party which led to Rangers duo Jordan Jones and George Edmundson being suspended by the club.

Jones and Edmundson were fined by police after being caught breaching COVID-19 restrictions at a gathering in north west Glasgow.

Officers were called to disperse a group of at least ten party-goers at around 1.25am this morning (Monday, 2 November). As reported by the Daily Record, the party was taking place inside an "plush" property on Devonshire Terrace, just off the city's Great Western Road. Police also gave those in attendance advice before splitting the group up.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.25am on Monday, 2 November, we received a report of a house party in Devonshire Terrace in Glasgow.

"Officers attended and ten people were issued with Fixed Penalty Notices. Advice was given and the party was dispersed.”

A number of Rangers fans have reacted angrily to news of the COVID-19 breaches, pointing to the fact that the actions of both Jones and Edmundson could have put fellow players and staff at the club at risk.

The Ibrox club announced this morning that they had suspended both players pending an investigation, with the duo required to self-isolate for the next 14-days upon advice from the club doctor.

In a statement Rangers said the club "have been made aware of an incident last night involving two of our players, Jordan Jones and George Edmundson.

"Both players breached covid regulations by attending a private gathering with others outside of their household.

"We can confirm that both players will be suspended pending an internal investigation. On the instruction of Dr Mark Waller, the players will also self isolate for 14 days."

Managing director Stewart Robertson said: "The chairman Douglas Park, Ross Wilson, Steven Gerrard and I discussed this matter as soon as it was brought to our attention.

"We are completely aligned in our action and the standards that are being set at Rangers.

"We will not tolerate behaviour that does not follow those standards and it is totally unacceptable for any of our players to be involved in anything that puts at risk the excellent protocols that have been put in place at Rangers.”

Both Edmundson and Jones have been peripheral figures for the Ibrox club so far this season. Neither were involved in the match-day squad for the 1-0 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon.

The players both joined Rangers last summer.
