Every season the gullible Bears assume that this will be the season when they triumph. Must be. They take the merest green shoot, or rather blue one, to indicate a forthcoming harvest. Their assumption is that they will of course return to their rightful position of dominance. It allows them to wallow in triumphalism at least till the season starts. They are mystified, stunned confused and bemused when they drop points as their expectation is of constant victories as a given. They do seem remarkably resilient to the years of failure and must blindly assume that normal service will be resumed this season. Must be surely. They are a bit on the slow side. It takes time for them . Thir neurones fire like snail mail. They obviously still do not realise that their days of winning trophies are forever gone. That they are second or third best and thus perennial losers. Not even the Masons in Black can help. They will castigate the manager, the board or the players oblivious to the fact that just like a carthorse cannot win the Derby, they cannot compete with the Barcelona of Glasgow, the mighty all conquering Celtic. It's not about trying, it's about talent. It's a syndrome called Cognitive dissonance. It's delusional.
