He certainly has history of performing at a consistently high level for a sustained period and no doubt has amazing skills. However, in the same way we shouldn't be writing players off after their first couple of games, we probably should calm down a wee bit when someone starts off brilliantly and not build up expectations to such a high level - it isn't really fair on them.

Good point, Bridie. By the same token, we shouldn't be trashing players who are getting a slow start as well, for those who are dumping on Bolingoli.

Incidentally, Johnston and Morgan are also looking great, too. In the last couple of games, both have been double-teamed often and both have handled it quite successfully.

Mikey Johnston for me.

I like how he handles the ball in traffic. He seems to be picking up more than one defender when he has the ball and, more times than not, shakes them both off. I'm not sure that's a talent that you can teach -- the bhoy is a natural. Definitely a star in the making.

It shows how far some of these players have come when we can all argue about who's the best.
Such good players need to be taught the right tactics and set-pieces to fully make the most of their games.
