My instant reaction to the latest Celtic statement was probably typical of many on the green side of Glasgow.

Celtic need to be reminded the club was formed for the right reasons and was not formed to beat a club playing out of Ibrox. Any underhand dealings between two clubs and an association is simply the theft and hijacking of a club setup by the people of the East End of Glasgow to accomadate, provide and abolish poverty or at least attempt to cushion the hardships felt.

If it materialises their is an interior motive and this motive is to glean the riches for a select few then Celtic as a club with its traditions are finished and we might as well take our pick of any club tosupport as all will be unique as ours in that it will merely be a football team with an aim solely to make as much money for the owners.

We must be reminded of the words of John F Kennedy and of Paul Larkins video anyone but Celtic and the messeage is simple

Also, pretty sure the huns backed our right to fly the flag of the Republic when Scotland turned against us?

Only problem i have with that statement is the part of working with the oldco in the belief it would make it easier as " the old firm" to be invited down south.
Nothing I've ever read gives me belief that this will happen any time soon. Doesn't add up.

Same the English would never have accepted the two Glasgow teams at the time, regardless of the attraction of the TV, the English clubs knew it would not be long until teams were been knocked off their pedestools in the position in the tables and transfer markets. was never a goer IMO was merely paper bullshit and floating casino porn for the gullible masses, Murrays space filler for his wee newspaper succulunt lamb pieces at the time and to keep the likes of Spiers etc onboard whilst robbing Scotland.

I admire the res 12 guys and what they campaigned for and clearly they were 100% right and we know the "old firm" will be protected as it's a money spinner for everyone.
But I'd rather see us kill them off on the pitch not in a court room, we have the money, talent and momentum to destroy them on the pitch and that's what I want to see.
And we need to remember that they have a habit of killing themselves, so for me we need to concentrate on the football, let those delusional bastards kill themselves trying to beat us, again.

I think your answer is what the res 12 guys fear most and that is the acceptance that this money spinner can be protected.
Well thats not exactly true, because as the man once said without fans the game is nothing, and granted he was not talking about the riches at the time, but, regardless, it fits the modern game, no fans through the turnstyles until change gets results all the time and only if fans are willing to go along with boycotts will the change we want to see happen.
