Good article WC, shame it never pointed out that for all the successful players that was sold on for profit, the amount of uncertainty that came along when the replacements for them had to come along.
Naturally comman enough for supporters to judge a new arrival upon the one you have just let go, but that doesn't guarantee success either.
Much more content with the model we have got currently in place now, with a strong squad with plenty of depth within it.
Player sales is always going to be something of a concern for any Scottish club, but we are now in a position to tackle the problem when it arises, which it will in the future, in a far stronger manner than we have ever been able to deal with before imo.
This old model may have raised funds to invest, but came with a cost of bad attitudes being employed and no real stability within the club also with a merry go around approach in play moreso.
Can't see Park being there saviour either imo, and if not being able to seem to do much of a job at Blackburn is hardly impressive, and possibly still way behind Mark lawell in the knowledge of what the modern day footballers are looking for also, especially in terms of value for money also imo.

Things have changed immensely for us with Ange's guidance. I also find it hugely encouraging that we are finally exploring potential markets, that traditionally we have pretty much ignored up to now. South America and Africa. We have to continue to do this to keep in the game. But at the same time not ignoring young talent on our own doorstep. I would like to see agreements with smaller clubs from leagues based in other countries, as a route to developing our best young talent. No disrespect to the highland league intended. The City Group model will be the way forward for big progressive clubs. It would be useful to emulate this, but on a scale suitable and affordable to us.

I would say that the scum pay out way to much money on wages just to get players to sign for that shower of shit.
Knock on effect is pushing debts through the roof with unable to sustain that amount of outlay on wages.
Leaves any potential departure having to take a big pay cut as possibly not worth anything that the scum are currently paying.
So players stuck in that shit hole without any interest in proving themselves to be worth any more than they are currently getting as they are already getting paid far more than they are actually worth imo.
