Suggestion....

New members are joining The Noise all the time but very few seem to join in and contribute. Would it perhaps make sense to have a permanent (sticky) welcome thread were new folk could introduce themselves and get a bit of a welcome, possibly it would make them feel more comfortable to join in?
I'm aware that I'm pretty new here and I'm not wanting to over step the mark in terms of how the site is run (which I have to say is excellent) but I've really enjoyed the good people I've met here and I'd like others to experience the joys of getting to know Michael Duffy!

I can't find it on Celtic or General chat. I wonder if these things are archived or do they just disappear into the ether.
I would start a new thread for newcomers but might upset a certain doc if I don't categorise it correctly.
