There is a simple solution to the crowd control problem for the next Sevco encounter .
Have the Union Bears issue a leaflet ( sectarian content is optional ) to all Sevco supporters identifying an assembly point -Bridgeton Cross would be acceptable - and the Police will provide them with an escort to and from Parkhead . ( Dark clothing is optional - for the supporters not the Police ! )
This is simply repeating what was done last year when an unauthorised ( sectarian ) march was policed from The Louden Bar in Kinning Park to Ibrokes .The Police were at pains to suggest that they could not stop the march ( ??? ) so therefore had to ensure that it was done with safety in mind . So they have had
practice at this .
The Celtic support can then access the stadium using the normal routes , thus ensuring that the Police are not placed in the , for them , difficult position of having to apply crowd control measures , which they patently have no experience of, as the Janefield Street fiasco demonstrated .
