Transfer Round-up (merged)

OK, so 2 foreign CBs, a handful of 16-18 year olds with a grand total of 45 minutes of first team Celtic experience and some hypothetical young South Americans who won't qualify for work permits and who notoriously always settle in perfectly and hit the ground running in cold, wet Scotland. And that is your cunning plan for European success this season?

Wow! As a troll you aren't very good, are you?
My plan will take time, after 1 or 2 years it would be what we need

but we are going for 10 in a row. Seems too risky to gamble on youth just yet. But who knows might be worth bringing the better youth through this season.
Absolutely right, we should be blooding this amazing crop of very talented youngsters in a controlled manner.1 or 2 at a time in the right sort of games to proactively rest our stars. And play them in their natural positions.

And definitely do NOT pluck them out of obscurity, play them up front on their own as a striker when they aren't and at Ibrox (Rodgers - I'm looking at you here!).

I didnt say to risk in youth but they will offer options to the team
and maybe better options in the trainning to put them in making their debuts
Remember Tierney how he came up from the Academies.Remember Ralston,he did very well against PSG then next day many PL clubs were interested in him.Ajax did the same thing.I dindt say to buy just young players.I said to buy expensive young players with sqouting. Not so expensive as Tierney of course but with a decent competition level. We dont risk anything, we already have a default treble treble squad.

Don't know much about the boy MD but this is exactly the type of player we should be targeting right now, playing at a decent level and being 26 he will have a good few years first team experience under his belt. If we're genuinely interested (not clickbait paper talk) then it's an encouraging sign that PL and the board are becoming a bit more flexible when it comes to the transfer strategy.

Panagiotis Retsos is better and is nearly the same price plus 5mil more
He plays in bundesliga , awarded for being on of the best top ten deffenders of the League
and he is only 20 and can play all over the deffensive positions.
Julien is very fine but not the type of Virgil Van dijk to secure a big CL run
If not Retsos, then we have to land Edson Alvarez who is more cheap with World Cup and Copa America experience and has the same calibre
we have to look about a player who can sell him in the future for a decent gain overall
We need a deffender like Benkovic

All very well, but I bet you my golden unicorn, there is more chance Boris Johnson isn’t a cunt, than us signing the guy.

NFO DEPECHE / TFC defender Christopher Jullien will fly to Scotland and wear the Celtic Glasgow jersey this summer. It was in the air for a few days. As we announced on Monday, Celtic Glasgow has made an offer for Christopher Jullien. The two clubs have agreed on the amount for the departure of the central defender Toulouse (1,96m, 88kg). This Tuesday, Jullien was in Paris with his agents to finalize the last details of his departure. He will not take part in the revival of Toulouse club, Thursday at the Stadium. Arrived at the club in 2016 from Dijon, the central defender (26 years) played nearly a hundred games with the TFC (97, 8 goals). In Scotland, he will find Romain Perraud, the left side Nice trained in Colomiers and loaned this season to Paris FC. This is the tenth player to leave the TFC during this offseason. Now it's up to Les Violets to find a replacement for the Ile-de-France colossus, to support Gen Shoji. Arthur Tirat

reports were spending 8-10m euos

As we told you this Tuesday night, Christopher Jullien joined his agents in Paris. And for good reason: the TFC and Celtic Glasgow would have agreed for the transfer of the central defender according to La Dépêche du Midi . The officialization will take place in the next hours. The amount has not been disclosed, but could be between 8 and 10 million euros

Tried reading that French article but unfortunately I only know 2 phrases in French, taught to me by Jacques Chirac 2012
Les Rangers est la merde
Les Rangers est mort.

I've known this young lad from other platforms and he is a valued part of our international fan base.

He is someone I have come to admire and has a youthful enthusiasm which perhaps some of us older, more cynical fans may have had kicked out of us over the years.

I hope for all of our young fans that they continue to enjoy the success we have had in recent years; however - they might not have experienced the sheer despair that we older girls and boys had to endure at various points in our history.

I ask you all to be kind to our young friend, he is devoted to Celtic and is perhaps not familiar with some of our more acerbic gaelic/celtic natures.

Thanks for filling us in. Need to ratchet up the piss taking. :)

I’m joking. :)
