Even more baffling is that the Tories won seats in areas that were decimated by Thatcherism. Areas that no longer have industries and therefore no jobs to speak of.

Of course there's no opposition to the Tories as Labour have been bereft of ideas since they decided to ditch socialism in favour of moving to the right. The Labour Party are just Tories in cheaper suits.

I honestly thought that there would be an alternative by now but I dream on.

Having not put any serious input into this thread I'll put one in.
No the people wont fight back ( just my personal opinion) until the damage is done.
Something I love about the French, say what you like about them but they stand up all the time and right away , we could do with some of that passion and mindset here.

We live in the age of distraction. People are more concerned with who can piss where and whether a man can be a woman or vice versa or who’s saying bad words. Ye can rob people, lower their living standards, lower their working conditions, attack trade unions, lower their wages, off shore profits from their labour, wage illegal wars but don’t ever call them names or say bad words to them or take their phones off them…that’s offensive.

I believe that the powers that be are doing this on purpose (war in Ukraine, inflation, food shortage climate destruction) all helped my the propaganda ministry.
If you think things are different in Oz or new Zealand think differently. It's all the same, political parties are all the same ran by the big federal banks.
Inflation isn't real, inflation is transitory, inflation is due to Ukraine. Inflation is peaking now told inflation is coming down!!

Inflation is a stealth tax, they produced it by printing currency, borrowing massively from the future. The world is a debt based society nothing more, the only growth is in debt.

And yesterday the yanks printed 700b to fight inflation - so basically they are telling us one thing and doing another, they want inflation.

When it all comes crumbling down, we will beg those that put us there to change it. Which they will just like we did when they bailed out the banks because they were too big to fail.

I've watched this guy for over 10years, very good tells you what's going on. His best advice he gives, is just become your own central bank. Pay off your debts, have spare paper cash not in the bank and buy some silver and gold. Grow some veggies. Doesn't matter rich or poor we can all do a little bit to safe guard our own futures. Government aren't here to help us, they are here to help the banks.

The alternative is the lib dems, and you'd think a centre ground party would have mass appeal, labour and the tories spend all their time trying to get the centre ground to support them after all. Unfortunately the liberals have proved to be worse that useless, they've spent most of the last 40 years arguing about what their party should be called and they've proved time and again that they'll jump into bed with anyone if it gives them the merest sniff of power.

I’ve always said it should be mandatory to vote at elections, but with one difference, on the ballot paper there’s should be a none of the above candidates, if that option wins, you have another vote with none of those candidates or parties allowed to take part, that would shake up the establishment
Oh and another thing, there should be NO career politicians, two terms then your life barred from standing again….
