As did Jason Cummings. He looked like a goal machine for Hibs in the Championship. He couldn't cut it down south, came to the Zombies and looked like he'd won a raffle, and now he's courting mediocrity in the third tier in England.
It's not as if we'd get Shankland for a song either. I don't think it's a gamble worth taking. We almost certainly have better in the development squad.

His TransferMarkt page suggests a more impressive 7 goals in 17 games this season. It also says he's only played 60% of possible minutes this season - does he have fitness issues? The page values him at £450k. I know there's always a difference between their valuation and the market value, because you're buying potential too, but why pay almost eight times his value, if the £3.5m figure is to be believed?

Even considering Shankland is a fucking disgrace and synonymous with our lets go cheap and hope, Lawell mantra. The cunt has wasted tens of millions on that strategy and still doesn't realise it's not working and never will.

I don't think he's going to play any meaningful part at Celtic now. Don't know if he isn't right or just that he isn't wanted. Such a pity.
