The links with Alfie Doughty and PSV's Baaker seem strange if the story that it was Lennon who overruled Hammond's recommendation to buy Hickey from Hearts. Apparently he didn't want a youngster in but wanted an experienced defender in instead. Bit both of these new links are for inexperienced youngsters.

Hickey would have cost the same or less, has a huge amount of talent, is experienced in the SPL and is a former Celtic youth so there is much less risk of him struggling to settle into his new surroundings.

PMG says (so I don't know if it true or not) that the Hickey deal was there to be done but Lenny said no! IF it is true then this may be a decision that haunts us in the future.

PMG trawls sites for snippets and passes them off as fact ,the McCarthy rumour put paid to his BS he picked it from kds and ran with it ,even getting the transfer price wrong same as the rumour had

I had read the rumour on a few places, and PMG was the latest one (probably for the reason you stated). But the fact is we probably could have got Hickey for little over half the amount we wasted on Boli, and for what we will now need to spend on an unproven project who may struggle to settle in Scotland or take time to get used to the frantic very physical game we have up here.

Am sure Hickey had already put out he wasn't interested in coming to us it was last year so can't remember where i read it

Hearts wanted full price up front from us but the mob he's going to are making 3 payments says it all really fk him and hearts

That is nonsense Michael what Eddy has done,posted missing for two big games for the supporters who pay his wages,then miraculously he recovers from a thigh injury to play for his countries under 21,s,what happens if he has a recurrence or he picks up another injury do we get him fit again for the next international break just like we did with big Rogic..
