GS it was just a throwaway but considering that Arzani has just returned to Man City after a loan and Ange's obvious links to City
I picked up on it Vigobhoy, just my way of being a smart arse mate.
Young Arzani has not had a very good time mate since he came back from his injury.
I read his story a couple of weeks ago when he explained Rodgers did not know he was coming to Celtic until the day he arrived,he told us the deal with Man City and Celtic was done with Lawwell and his son Mark who as you probably know works for Man City..

Have a listen Kelly it might help you change your mind,,,Never say Never..
Dont just say it because big Connery said it..

HH.
whose Connery ?

everyone down under is gonna say he's great hardly gonna say he's shite , there's a big difference here . by all reports he has did very well in Australia and now japan and there's where it ends
european football is very different in every way

Were a club in a mess , we have players leaving youth players heading for the exit ,we don't have a settled team for this year and we need a total rebuild from top to bottom but meanwhile someone is still buying and selling players ...Lawwells picks ?

we need a manager to hit the ground running ,somebody who knows the european market ,knows what it takes to compete in european competitions and living with the pressure of managing Celtic and dealing with the shit spfl

So are we to believe ange and his bacroom staff will come in and within 3-4 weeks put everything right ,,,,no knowledge of european football ,,,,so do we rely on the 2 useless clipboards in the dugout the ones who just won't leave

Nothing against the guy personaly but this has disaster written all over it and for all the wrong reasons

A ceo who should be on gardening leave and nowhere near picking a manager left with the power now to fk us more for the last time this appointment wasn't even a plan b as were finding out bit by bit
a citygroup lead from his son,,,,Lawwell back doing citys bidding
a support and media bloggers not screaming from the roof tops

No Director of football another rumour jumped on by the support who are now swallowing magic beans the list is endless

So a don't back his appointment ,a wish the guy well but theres something rotten going on at our club just now and has been for the last year

My personal view on Celtic's behaviour is that yes they have run out of ideas, they know they need a manager, i think they way the euro setup is they are gambling on being in 1 of the competitions to generate some cash, they will sell a few players and hope that they can concentrate on winning the league to gain the automatic place in the champions league, they know the support will eventually renew and grim and bear it even being in the lowest European cup, they know that they have to win the Scottish league in order to make amends for a disappointing season, Scottish cup, league cup, let other teams fight for them we have the record.
Manager no euro pro licence, doesn't matter make sure the league is secured and faith will return. HH

Well its turned out a lot closer than I initially thought. I think a lot have changed their minds or just are prepared to give him a chance as their doesnt seem to be any others on the radar.
While the skeptics like me are narrowly ahead, we accept everyone is entitled to their view and we (i) would be more than happy to be wrong.

News today suggesting Kevin Muscat could be his assistant, I'm even less keen on that idea but won't be doing a vote this time. Hail Hail, thanks to all who voted and posted.

I am looking forward to AP, our new manager, if it happens. I think we dodged a bullet with Eddie Howe.

Can't disagree with that sentiment. I think he was shit scared to come up here and fail in a two-horse race which would've damaged his precious reputation. Not the sort of guy you want managing your players imho.

The more I read about AP, the more I like him. His football philosophy ties in very closely with Tommy Burns', which in turn is how we (Celtic fans) like the game to be played. I remember Sean Fallon being interviewed one time and saying the players once received a bonus for being beaten because of the manner in which they played the game.

Admittedly TB failed to win the league but, if anyone on here remembers his football then they can't help being at least a little excited by the prospect of a similar brand appearing once again at CP.

Hopefully, he'll hit the ground running but I fear the board have hamstrung him for next season with the ridiculous time it's taken them to get the manager position sorted out. He'll need massive support from the fanbase and more importantly some patience from us because deep down we know if he fails to deliver next year, it's not entirely his fault.

Are you for fucking real? Aye lets reward failure, what an incentive that is! Why not an extra bonus for every goal we concede.
Sure I remember the T Burns era, we played well an got gubbed. Geeza break.
Show me a good loser an I'll show YOU...a loser.

So there you have it folks. Not a ball has been kicked and here is someone who has a ready made excuse for failure. Because its already the boards fault, or ours because we weren't 'patient' enough. Give me fucking strength.
