Close season so its time for a transfer thread......

Am sure if there's anyone on here who travel the wishaw emerald or motherwell buses would be able to tell you how much of a diehards the Tierney family were

or do you lose that just because you moved on ,
They can be arsenal diehards now. Until he moves somewhere else.

The Hoops manager said: “Arsenal really showed their interest.

“It's a challenge he wanted to pursue and he goes with our best wishes.
Celtic could have said no from the very start ,,,,,killed it stone dead ,they ddn't and by all accounts Lawwell kept on at the player

and as for lennons statement it was diplomatic ,he's hardly going to come out with the true version

like peter phoned Tierney who was over the park with his mates playing football and told him we've accepted Arsenals offer get yer arse to the airport

On another note and not connected, yesterday Celtic were slated v PNE, i watched Arsenal v Huns and Arsenal not at it or up to speed, yet all the talk was of what an amazing team, surely the same should be said of Celtic because comparing PNE to Celtic when the season is in full swing player for player is bollocks, so Celtic like Arsenal not up to speed yet.

Not sure if that was the point in the beginning think it was the look at me and the green brigade at every opportunity when the lights were flashing that some are irked at not whether he supports Celtic, just not the die hard that was made out and willing to move. IMO all this move on for the challenge etc, as stated if that's the case why Arsenal, would have been better options if you want a challenge and want top flight crack at CL, as stated Arsenal are shite in Europe and are shite domestically, the LC down there is bollocks, two titles FA Cup and EPL, Arsenal not in the running.
that's all down to opinions

We do not know that.

Has it always been an ambition of yours to play in the Premier League?
When I was younger, it was always Celtic. The ambition was Celtic and that was my dream when I was younger. But when you get older... I've done that, I've made my dream, I've lived my dream and I've loved every single minute of it. Now I just feel was the right time to take a step on. I feel this is a great opportunity for me.

Doesn't sound like a gun was put to his head. I lived the dream, now I'm sick of it. That's what it sounds like to me. Also didn't say who told him to get to the airport. More than likely his agent lookin his cut.

I started watching Celtic and McStay in that centenary season and saw a geat player. This may seem harsh but bar one other season before he retired I never saw the player the fans around me saw. I've seen enough on video, but I never saw the player I know he was as he was either injured, playing through injury or generally recovering from it. always felt a wee bit cheted as a kid.
Never knew that about the contract.
The contract offer was never confirmedin the press but an ex player confirmed that's what Fergus offered
