I like A.P.s style of play but for it to work we need to get players in who have the ability to play his system..some we have others we are looking for..

He will get a run at signing players, the structure to support that properly is miles off though.
If Maloney got a gig like that and it was McKay/Maloney and Ange working with a decent analytics and scouting dept with no interference from the board I'd wait two years for that to bed in, but as Gary said earler my worry is how much freedom that group will actually get. I'm still hopeful but will they all get the backing at boardroom level and will the support have the patience for what is needed or turn on Ange and the players?

I take your point that there’s a structure that would help Niall, most definitely
But the idea that someone is going to come in as a DOF and improve the team is wishful thinking IMO
It’s players were lacking
Yes that structure supports better preparation, recruitment and efficiency of department going forward
But even with it in place last year would it have made a difference this year ?
New manager appointed late from the other side of the world. Asked to recruit a near team with 2 weeks notice
A DOF would have perhaps have made a slight difference but we’ve given a guy a threadbare squad with wantaways, internationals at euros up against covid
A few injuries later were playing kids in the most lucrative game of year

The point is...it should never of got Tae this stage....that board especially lawwell deliberately let they Hun bastard's back into the game...n this is the result...that anger will never go away fur me until they rats are gone
