I'd just like to add that any sides watching us tonight will know this is not the Celtic that midtyland kod from the cl. This side would run them into the ground and with fans back at CP no side will want to draw us and I'm sure that AZ will be watching that performance tonight wondering where did this come from HH ☘

We gotta remember that Hart has not played a lot of football the last 3 years... sometimes great players need. Change of scenery to revitalise them ..Joe had a rough time after the last world cup and he went into free fall.... looking at him behind our young defence, he has the presence of a leader and a future Celtic great 😎
 
Another very good performance, the stars of the weekend, Furuhashi & Christie, had quieter games tonight but still worked their socks off and played their part within the team, step forward the stars for tonight, Turnbull (MOTM), Taylor (best game in a Celtic shirt) & Welsh. Add to that the Rodgers version of Rogic played tonight, Forrest getting better with fitness and games, and a keeper who made saves, two of them. Starfelt, Ralston performed wel winning the majority of 1 on 1sl and McGregor as brilliant and consistent as ever (aside from one bad backpass to allow Big Joe his moment in the spotlight ;)). 3-0 against a team better than the majority we will face domestically and we were able to rest key players ahead of Sunday.
And then there was a full stadium that was bouncing from start to finish.
Only complaint is I'm still not back in my own seat in the Main Stand, that changes on Sunday(y)
 
Not surprising that we dropped off the intensity after we had the match sewn up. Absolutely delighted with the performance and the result. I thought all players gave there all and how good was it to see Hart pulling off a couple of excellent saves after not being required to do anything for more than an hour beforehand.

I must admit that this dramatic upturn has happened much quicker than I thought was possible. I also suspect we might suffer of wee setbacks in the next few months until we really start to see the benefit of Ange's fitness training, but we will have a wonderful season (the league is my priority obviously, hopefully get a wee run in Europe but the cups are just a bonus).

Thought he wasn't quite his brilliant best tonight Stevie to be honest ....I'm not convinced by his commitment to Celtic ..but he is definitely working hard ...that in itself is acceptable. 👍
 
Any RB we sign is going to have to go some to remove Ralston from that jersey.

The boy deserves enormous credit for the way he's handled things since Ange arrived.

Hardly put a foot wrong in the last 3 games and scored a couple of belters too.

Amazing what a run in the team will do for a guy, with a manager that knows how to get the best out of him.

You could see he was buzzing off the crowd. I'll bet he wishes he'd come to Celtic sooner.

He deserves huge credit for sticking with it when others heads wouldve dropped hes no longer a prospect player and to me looks the part

I totally agree. It is amazing how good our players look when the players are played in their best positions, and have clearly defined roles and tactics! Get the basics correct and do the simple things right and usually this results in a significant improvement in performances.
