Having just watched the news, as expected most of it was about the coronation, but the thing that struck me most was the lack of people out celebrating, London was busy as you’d expect, the news reporters went around the country, to where the large screens had been set up everywhere was empty, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle Edinburgh, and at Glasgow cathedral where the screen was set up, literally only a handful of the expected numbers, even the staunch gullabilly’s planned infamous street “party” at George square only half a dozen turned up, no even enough to have a fight amongst themselves they all could have had a bench each……

I’m a bit surprised after millions that turned out for Lizzie’s funeral, it doesn’t look like the country gives two fucks about the adulterous king and his wife……..perhaps it’s time the people were given a free vote on the abolition of the monarchy and becoming a republic

At a time when so many of the population are struggling to pay their bills and relying on foodbanks to feed thei family because their job(s) do not pay enough to buy food, to spunk a quarter of a billion £ on this meaningless show of opulence is immoral & unethical.

And to expect the peasants to take the knee and swear allegiance to to his majesty was truly disgusting IMO.

We watch all the UK dramas, except for The Crown, or anything to do with the inbred bastards, who suck the lifeblood out of taxpayers pockets
Apart from that, I dislike them intensely

Like Nick66 I managed to get through the entire day and night without seeing any of the circus in London. I'm pretty sure nothing else was going on in the world anyway.

Remember when Chuck married his bit on the side and all the Diana fans were appeased by being told there would never be a Queen Camilla?

Although I never saw it I'm pretty sure it was an expensive spectacle which no doubt warmed the hearts of those 700 folk who ended up in hospital with hypothermia during the winter.
