The next generation of Celtic supporters will remember Billy McNeill the way we remember him.

We will mourn his passing and commemorate his life with the same dignity and honour that Billy displayed throughout his years on earth.

I am a pretty emotional person but takes a lot to bring tears to my eyes my girlfriend got it no questions asked she likes Celtic because I like Celtic is the truth really, still she was taken aback to see me like that this morning but even she knows who and what Billy McNeil is and was 29 caps for Scotland? SFA?They should hang their heads in shame. Same rubbish for the other lions had they just played the lions Scotland would have been a force to be reckoned with that very few could compete with

But the sfa an inferior organisation that selected inferior players for the schools and Team they supported agree Winter what a disgrace that bunch of clowns are.

Condolences to the McNeill family and to the Celtic family on this loss. A true leader, a passionate player, a compassionate man -- all traits that, in combination, are rare in athletes these days. If ever a Celtic jersey fit a player perfectly, it was the one that Billy wore.

Europe's best couldn't compete I doubt it would have been any different internationally only the SFA wouldn't call upon the northern hemispheres most successful side ever. 2 cl finals in 3 seasons countless semi final appearances from the 60s-70s but we know the reason why I won't demean this stream by spelling it out

I would just like to say the respect and love shown right here from everyone is really touching , heartwarming stuff. Billy McNeil lived a legend and died a legend.
