Celtic weaker than last season - Provan

The 1985 Free kick specialist claims we are weaker with our replacements for

Benkovic - A loanee who was not a regular by any means last season.
Tierney - Injury issues restricted his performances on the park .. Actual replacement still to be established
Lustig - Brittle as a box of weetabix perfectly illustrated in our first Ibrox visit last season... Elhamed looks on early showings an athletic upgrade.
Boyata - head was elsewhere and wandering off the park v tribute act at Celtic Park was the end of the line .. Julien looks an able replacement

I'd have thought the Gourock sage might just have waited for the end of the transfer window before passing judgement unless of course he's spent too long down south and missed the fact we still have the cash and the opportunity to sign players.

The jury may be currently out on Boli but overall if we assume he will have genuine competition for the left side, include Bittons defensive performances then consider Ajers showings centrally and on the right side the potential is there for a sound defensive group as the season unfolds if we secure two more solid defenders.

Overall given the reasons above I disagree with another ex player in the pocket of his paymasters.

Sutton & Michael Stewart are the only pundits i like.

There’s a few I don’t mind. I like them too. They’re honest. Big Chris has slaughtered us for missing the boat. As he has to because we did. He also knows that bringing in the players we all know we need is key to his team getting even better so gets fucked
off when we don’t. No o e could call him a happy clapper and I respect that. Tell it like it is, not how you want it to be is the only way to improve. Standing still means going backward and we did that the last two season under Rogers.

Time to get on the front foot by recognising our weaknesses and eradicating them. Not wishing they will fix themselves. Spoiler, they won’t.

So did Danny McGrain. That’s not the reason he’s a prick. He just is if he thinks he’s right. We haven’t finished in the transfer market yet. We do what needs to be done and we are much better.

I didn’t say it was. I think it wouldn’t be hard to take coin from the pocket of his paymasters. No conflict of interest.

Deidco n sevvie supporters aren’t bad just deluded. Huns are filth

Exactly one year ago on this day we got beat by the Wee Huns at Swinecastle, playing some of the worst football I've ever seen. Davie Provan, Charlie Nicholas, Andy Walker ... all of them ex-players and all of them almost comically anti-Celtic at times. Charlie Nicholas had Sevco winning the league in January. Fucking mullet-headed wanker.

Provens a prick always doon about the tic fuck him HH

Players come and go, guys like Boyata owe us nothing, he came, played when picked (except once) and fulfilled his contract. Lustig didn't have three years in him at Celtic and everyone except him could see that. Pity he left but we got his best years, clearly. KT is away and we have £25m - if it's spent on improving the squad it's a win win, but that remains to be seen.

Lenny has cleared out the non contributors and the loanees, he has more work to do on that. One or two others might want away too (maybe Ntcham, Rogic?) and these things need to be addressed as this month continues. But it is crucial that Celtic don't stand still and do invest to make us stronger than last season - regardless of what Davie Provan or the rest of them say or write.

I think it's obvious to anyone who doesn't have some agenda that we are stronger in personnel and mentality than last season. You hardly need to have some great knowledge of football to look at the fact that we struggled like hell at places like Fir Park last season and, though this is obviously hypothetical, us going down 1-0 there last season would've almost certainly spelled a draw. The players are playing with a new passion - even if they're tired due to the mad qualifying schedule. And we're not even finished in the market yet. This time last season had we actually brought anyone in? I think Mulumbu was brought in on the last day of the market.

And your post is 100%, it must be the way you tell it that everyone falls over to give you the thumbs up but slaughters Verdict haha

Verdict you take notes from D ???

Well said D ✊??

I really hope Ntcham stays. I wonder what Lenny has said to him in private. Whatever it was, he's played a blinder in terms of man management. Under Rodgers, Ntcham had one good game last season by my reckoning - against the Slevco, when he was unplayable. If we could keep Ntcham and have him playing like he played yesterday on a consistent basis this season, it would be like having a new signing. Not a substitute for new signings, of course.
