First January Signing?

A bit more info...
KobayashiPhoto by SponichiKobe's former U-21 Japan defender Yuki Kobayashi (22) will join Scottish Premier League side Celtic in January next year. According to multiple sources, official offers have already been received and agreements have been reached between the clubs. Kobayashi himself seems to have decided to take on the challenge for the first time overseas, and plans to sign an official contract after a medical check in the field.

Kobayashi is 1.85 meters tall and a left-handed center back. He has been attracting attention since his days in Kobe's junior team, and in May '16, at the age of 15 years and 9 months, he was registered in the first team twice. After that, he continued to grow steadily, and in April '18, he made his top debut at the age of 17 years and 8 months. In '19, he skipped the grade and was selected for the U-21 national team of the Tokyo Olympics generation Japan He has a reputation for his precise left foot and build-up ability, and Celtic are highly praised for Kobayashi's ability and potential.

Led by coach Postecoglou, who led Yokohama to the J1 title in '19, Celtic squad consists of four Japan players, including forward Furuhashi, Maeda, midfielder Hatate, and Ideguchi, who are aiming to be included in the World Cup squad to be announced tomorrow. If Kobayashi, who is expected to play in the 26th World Cup, joins, a Japan-man quintet could be born on the pitch.

😆😆this news will really piss off Billy fae Govan they're hoping for a huge January window and we have already got one (allegedly) at the start of November superb
Not really - Billy will be celebrating again because remember anyone who only plays in Japan must be a right diddy. I seem to remember them celebrating us wasting our money last summer on the tiny wee Kyogo and again in Januaty when we bought three more useless clowns from there. (how did that work out for them???   )

Aye rite enuf lol they muppets still say hatate and kyogo are shite are good Presbyterians supposed to show envy and jealousy???🤔

It's great news that the identification and recruitment process is continually ongoing. Proper planning. A sure sign of a club that knows what it wants, and how to go about getting it. No knee jerk reactions resulting in panic signings. A massive and badly needed improvement on the previous administration.

It will be a relaxed window this time. We now have a manager, whose judgement we trust. Looking forward to seeing what goodies are in the bag this time.
Yes, no more scrambling about trying to find a bargain to fill a gap. It usually ends badly with players not much better than the ones we were trying to replace and no big names looking to top up their pensions. Who wants marquee signings when you can have players that want to play for the jersey.

I trust in Ange to do any business needed.

Ange said at today's press conference re.January transfers.

"A couple of weeks ago, we sort of did our (transfer) planning. The bulk of the work's been done.
"What this time gives me is a little bit of opportunity just to plan for the rest of this year and probably the next summer window."
