Season ticket money in so to hell with a rebuild, we'll resign a waster and hope for the best. Disgraceful decision and worryingly make Ange and Dom look like boardroom yes men.

More of a, needs must, move. Ange needs strikers. He's not got long before his 1st competitive game. We may very well make signings before the 1st qualifier but there's no guarantee they will be out of quarantine or even fit enough to play. Griff is a safety net. If we get to a week before the 1st match without signings in the door then, yes, I'd probably start to feel like nothings changed...

It might not be the answer to whatever striking problems we currently have, but no one can doubt that a fully-focussed and concentrated Griff is still likely to net us 15-20 goals this season.

It has now become pretty evident that there was a significant deterioration in the relationship between the player and the previous manager. It seems that Ange is not there to make pals and that might be the type of boss Griff needs. He seems the type who needs a bit of edge and anger in his game and his record, for the most part, stands up to scrutiny.

I appreciate that you're only as good as your last game, but there's another factor to consider here?

Griff has an ability to make runs and find the spaces in the box that you can't really coach, but it can be studied. Young strikers can learn a lot just by watching his starting position and how he drops off and lingers.

Griff isn't a long-term solution, but he's here now and hope springs eternal that the wee fella can get his mojo working.

Great news - he knows it's last chances. Give him a run in the team and we can save 6-8 million if he hits his true form. Better that than throwing cash at some guy from somewhere we have never heard of. Get Kerr or McCart, Doig, Nisbet, McManus etc - local guys who know the league and what Celtic is.

You ll be singing his praises when he starts banging in the goals again Gary .New manager ,new set up ..everybody deserves a chance to prove themselves .
Except he won't. Rodgers had his number and sidelined him, and even when Lennon gave him another chance he couldn't be arsed getting fit. He's either underperformed, or took the piss, for 5 seasons. You cant ask players to buy into a system/philosophy that requires completely new levels of fitness and a work ethic for the team then let a waster hang around for a final payday.

He came on to a game just before the game at Ibrox then covid hit .We dont have many better options at the moment .

Griffiths hit 40 goals the season before Rodgers arrived , was first pick as CF until injured on eve of first Sevco game - Dembele stepped in and scored a hatrick - rest is history !

I would put his deterioration down to two factors - Griffiths and Lennon .
Both are culpable , more so the manager as he should be aware of the weaknesses/failings of his players .
Few players are highly intelligent - all their brains are in their feet - and some are particularly difficult to handle and so require a strong and intelligent father figure ( e.g Stein and wee Jinky ! ).

Let's hope that Ange P. can be the man to get Griff back on top - on his day he is the best striker we have !
