I have to be fair, Ray - and say that, as a very left-leaning person of a socialist persuasion, for as much as I loathe the message being presented by Lazio fans and other neo-cons, I defend their right to express their message within a reasonable frame.
What I cannot defend is the blatant hypocrisy that often prevails in these circumstances. The vast majority of "reporters" in this country are constantly looking for any sharp object they can stick into Celtic.
Perhaps it is reflective of their own terrible values, or perhaps their hatred over-rides all notion of basic decency when there is an opportunity to have a go at Celtic.
Fortunately for us - we don't have to live inside the swirling shitpool that passes for a brain and we should all be eternally grateful for that.
The best way to expose all of these cretins is to just keep winning football matches and supporting the team in the way that 50-odd thousand did last night.

I notice James has given his opinion without clarifying the very things the other reporter hasn't clarified either.
I loathe the nazi ideology but just like the Lazio claims of misunderstanding and the notion of pretending the nazi salute to be Roman legion pride (both similar yet different ideologies), the lack of clarity for people who know nothing about the sophisticated sophistry being espoused on either side is still unclear.

Are the Lazio fans definitely fascist? Personally I think they are but they too hide behind cloud of mysterious gnosticism as their right.

Now I could go look up the references that James alludes to, but instead of clarifying the position of green brigade on this occasion he chose to leave it up to reader discretion.
But isn't that the same thing he says the other reporter has been negligent on?

Personally I'd like the green brigade to stay out of politics. It's causing our club to keep handing money over to UEFA when the money could be used on celtic. Whatever ones politics leave their opinions at home, it's football you're going to not Hyde Park to speak atop your soap box. HH 
Some of the banners were uncalled for no doubt about that ,but the reference to green flame brigade ,refers to ,so I believe,was a resistance group of predominantly catholic orientation which operated in the war against hitler ! There was also mother resistance groups ,ie,brigade garibaldi,predominantly communist, tensions between all the groups,led to the formation of fiamme verdi as a separate organisation of Christian democrats,in northern Italy ,all in all ,and there is a lot more, interesting if anyone wants to investigate ,but as I said some bad banners no right ,! Hh

The Celtic support at the game last night all around the ground made our collective thoughts on these fascists pretty clear, indeed their own club are attacking them today, saying that they are bringing Hitler into Lazio and they are being condemned as a racist club throughout Europe. Our support was excellent last night.

I imagine the Saxon reference shows very much the feeling that Celtic symphatised with the Irish and what they felt towards the invaders of the Irish homeland and a very good reason for the resentment. When, also the SFA wanted the removal of the Tri Color i am sure it was more to do with politics than Scottishness or Britishness.
