Well done Lou. Putting the modern footballer to shame. He does do a lot of work for charity and he must be able to afford that but when you think that players in England are earning 100 grand a week and it seems they don’t want to take a pay cut. In Italy the PFA have rejected a 30 per cent pay cut. Here sevco players have deferred their payments meaning they’ll get their money at some point(they hope) and our players seem to be be giving sweet f@ck all it’s a grand gesture. He did play football in a time when money wasn’t the be all and end all. I know he went to Man U for the money but it’s incomparable to what the mercenaries earn today.
