I know everybody is sick of Brexit and politics in general but Dispatches on channel 4 tonight is a must watch for all who value the NHS and the concept of free healthcare at the point of need. The programme exposes the extremely dodgy 'shadow trade talks' currently being negotiated in secret by the US-UK regarding a post-Brexit trade deal which will open up the NHS to (private) American pharmaceutical companies.

A deal that's expected (likely designed) to cripple the NHS and eventually lead to full privatisation. If you want an idea of what that means the below was posted on twitter by an American warning people in the UK of the realities of a what an American style private healthcare system actually looks like......

Trouble is Shammy the NHS is just one part of these trade negotiations......food, welfare, environmental protections etc. and a shit load of other areas could see massive deregulation and be opened up to all sorts of questionable standards and people.

Tories did a 2 year study of the American healthcare system and courting the big hitters in the industry , The details were supposed to contain in the transatlantic trade agreement Obama signed ,and wikileaks were trying to get the details of it

The Tories attacks on the poor and vunerable will continue ,austerity was the first stage of their programme healthcare cuts will be next , Branson was rumoured to be lined up for a large piece of the NHS

The thing is they will all get away with it , there is no party to take them on , Labour just now are a tories wet dream with a useless idiot in charge , who nobody would want to vote for so change will come ,(the deals probably already been done ) there's no opposition to stop it

one of the reasons a shit load of fracking licences went out straight after the indy vote ,the enviroment will be destroyed for profit
 
Do you reckon you will have a better future in Scotland over the next few years? If not why stay there? Why don't you consider emigrating somewhere? It's an option taken by many Scots over the years and the vast majority have found it to be beneficial. There are lots of Scots living overseas. There are lots of countries to choose from. Do your research. Write down the pros and cons. Which country would welcome you? Or just stay in Scotland and blame the Tories, or Brexit or the evil American corporations or whatever else. You cannot affect the way the nation goes but you can as an individual decide which nation should be your home. Don't stay there just because you were born there. That's inertia. For the last thirty years in New Zealand no one has ever called me a Fenian bastard or asked me what school I went to. It's a possible option for some people. you could reach a decision before 31st Jan on your own personal Br-exit or not.
