A very recently unearthed photo of my auld da, my uncle and cousin at a Celtic /hun game in 1971. My da is on the right wearing a light coloured scarf with my cousin and uncle to his left. My cousin came across it earlier tonight in a book about Glasgow.

Not too many Celtic jerseys were worn back in the 70's, at games
Couldn't get in for a pint in many places wearing the colours

I never once saw my da wear a Celtic scarf. I don't think they liked to invite any trouble but maybe it just wasn't the done thing.

Scarves were more silk and barely noticeable and folded into a handkerchief size for storing in your pocket, now they are big wooly ton weights roon yer neck.

My very first scarf back in the early 70s was similar to this - it didn't have the finalists on it, just the club badge I think - but was the same colours, had the green and white stripes and yellow tassle things on the end.

My maw knitted me and my 2 bros scarfs on our first visit to Parkhead walking along the old rail track my older bros got grabbed and the we fkr ran away with it , we were laughing our arses off when my other bros went the same way

Nobody could go past without giving him a pet, or in most cases, a big hug
I sent Michael a Christmas card a couple of years ago, with a photo of Beau in it
