Was certainly a character and brilliant bowler who could actually make cricket interesting.
Made the ashes series imo and many a great battle he had with the English cricketers.
Went on to add to the occasion with the commentary team also.
Sad loss for the cricket World and bought about many great memories for them all.

I read earlier that Rodney Marsh had died as well. He was Australia's wicket-keeper for the 1970s into the early 80s, and remained heavily involved in international cricket for the next 30 odd years. That is two of the biggest characters in their sport to pass away in the space of a few hours. Rest in peace fellas.

Make that 4..........Gutted at this news, Shane Warne was an incredible spin bowler and his 'miracle ball' is still defying physics and kinetics to this day.
Remember seeing him wear The Hoops as casual attire on a few occasions too.
