Why was today's game called off? This is the second time in a few weeks a game at Dens has been called off very late - the Aberdeen match just before Xmas was postponed with less than an hour's notice.
Although it is a chuckle this time as it affects sevco fans, in reality it is a disgrace that fans are treated so badly. Most will have spent a fair amount of their cash on travelling for feck all, and will receive zero compensation. The next time it could be Celtic fans wasting their money.
It is understandable if it happens during extreme weather conditions but when it happens repeatedly at the same ground then they need to take action to improve drainage, etc.
Also, why can't we agree on a standard set of protocols to test specified areas of the pitch during bad conditions that can be performed by ground staff early to give them the authority to postpone a match in time to stop most fans travelling, rather than wait until officials arrive at the ground.

Dundee guy on the radio saying if they would have delayed it an hour it would be playable according to his ground staff... Said they phoned the league officials to ask for a delay and they said it was up to the ref... And he just called it off....

To delay a few hours is up to the clubs and league. Refs can speak when they want to it appears.

Not as if these corrupt cunts don’t have previous for cancellation when needed,,game against Ross county 27 December cancelled at the last minute “reason it was windy up north and Ross county couldn’t get down in time???aye right yar..three days before they played us??which we fucked them in??….but similar conditions a few days later didn’t prevent a small club like Buckie thistle with all there millions in the bank?booking into a hotel the night before the match to make sure they made it

Guess the Ref had already made up his mind before he got there, bit suss when Dondee said it would drain down within an hour why did he not wait 30 minutes to see if that was happening think he was under orders ?
