I think it will be Muscat. They have spent a lifetime copying what we do. Don't think they will change now. This time it is to get a handle on the Chinese and Asian player market. They see the value that may be there and realise it is the only way to go for them. Seeing Ange's success in this field was an eye opener. Also being one of their own helps sell it.
That's a brilliant call POD they will have hated every minute of us out playing Liverpools EPL derby rivals in front of huge support in Oz and want a part of that action,
where they do have support in many of the same places we do.
They have Oz connections in Muscat , Vidmar maybe more.
They dont have an ambassador ' face of the club' like we do though even though Ange dislikes the spotlight that's blatantly obvious.
It's really poor management at boardroom and sales level , millions of gullibillies want to buy into the lie , buy a shirt and feel good about supporting their team, who no longer exist, substitute.
They need the money badly and they have an untapped market that Celtic have been working closely with for over 10 years .
The J-league , South Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand, Canada , the states, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil , on and on Celtic's net is wide .
Aye bang on they will look at us and say " why don't we do that?"
It's taken Celtic time to build such a network, over 15 years.
Them making money (more) than they ever have last 2 seasons doesnt mean anything bar they have some to spend.
They're about to get really frustrated because what it is they think are about to copy is something I've never seen before , complete clear out bar our captain, Bain, Ralston, Forrest, Walsh and Turnbull who was one of our new signings who managed to survive.
Almost if not impossible to copy that which Celtic did.
They can attempt to copy but it wont guarantee the same outcome , that would be miraculous .
They might get some former stalwart to front the manager's job short term but really hes there to sell assets ( those they have) to finance a complete makeover, something Celtic supporters had been shouting out for, for years before we got it.
We were prepared to rip it up and start again, how prepared to do that will they be when it comes to selling the heart of the side to start anew , selling /letting go KT, Dembele, Ajer, Pingpong, Christie, Edouard was a difficult dark time for Tim's but we had faith in Ange to lead us through it.
