I'm sure we could get him for less than that, and he would take a wage cut. His wages and Southamptons asking price wasn't the issue. He felt he done enough with us to fight his way back into contention for a 1st team place at Southampton - that was his reasons - I can respect that. Downsizing will become more likely with him in the job. If the board decide tomorrow to sell Eddy, Ntcham, McGregor and Lennons own Granny, I very much doubt he'll stand in the way.
