And guess who gets to play second on the midden that is the Hampden pitch after Sevco and the Baa Baas have run around on it for 90/120 minutes ? Being October in Glasgow there is a high probability of it being rather wet - which is just what you don't want when playing two semis of a National competition on the same turf only hours apart .
Which overpaid , useless blazer came up with that one ?

Policeman- Where you going mate with the celtic gear?

Punter- Im going to Hamdden for the big game.

Policeman- Sorry pal too early other game first now get back on the bus outta here before i arrest you.

Its gotta be a wind up two matches at same stadium on same day.

Makes about as much sense as segregating stadium 4 ways. For your ticket you get to watch two games so you need to pay double. segregated between the 4 teams. The first half of first game starts at half time the other semi final starts and finishes and the last half of the first game kicks off after the second one finished.

That way first team doesn't deliberately spoil the pitch and think they can geta away with.

hahahahaha

Madness
Can they not even ask Eufa to play one of the games on wednesday to help with the semi final problem?

Brilliant. Although it's probably not a million miles away from the truth...

What a bat-shit crazy idea! Honestly thought it was a wind-up from somewhere... it is, from the sfa!!! Glasgow gonna be fun that day! What's wrong with playing a semi -final midweek? Been done many times in the past and would also give that waste-ground pitch a breather too. Run by a rabble of junkie munkeys!

In fairness its the SPFL rather than the SFA. Doncaster though is claiming they are under legal obligations to play both at Hampden despite there being precedence for playing them elsewhere before. I did pick it up with the SFA though as I thought they could release that obligation

Bhoys would you mind putting your thoughts on this into the poll here so that I can show the overall feelings. Asking the same of the other clubs too though its clear Rangers got the best deal of a bad lot. Would like stats to support the ongoing conversations Im having with reps of the SFA. Its much easier to be heard with a roar behind you.
contractually obliged to play both games at hampden, otherwise would have voted hampden and Murrayfield which does make more sense. HH

feel for the Aberdeen and heart's fans, the polis, the ambulances, the E.R staff and anyone caught up in the mayhem that will be "savage sunday" careful out there bhoys n ghirls HH
Well said - I can see no good in having the 2 matches on the same day and it looks like a recipe for mayhem. To have come up with this as an answer to a problem shows there's a dearth of intellect by those running the game in this country.

Millsy raised a good point earlier. Hearts V Celtic came out the draw first and therefore why have we been allocated an evening game on what will be a midden.

I have heard some say that we are second because we are playing away on Thursday night prior to the match and Sevco are at home and therefore we will get more rest time. However, the SFA have never gave two hoots about Celtic getting rest time in previous competitions and therefore in my view the first fixture drawn should be the first fixture played (unless Celtic and Hearts have requested this but suspect it is to suit Dons fans travelling). I hate Murrayfield and glad we are not going there.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing when switched on the news.... Weird it has turned out alright for Rangers...all things considered they are playing at Hampden on normal pitch a bit earlier than usual but otherwise business as usual.

talkin to ma sister (season ticket holder) and in her wisdom she said the stupidest thing to do is to play both games at hampden on the same day, we both agreed, that's what will happen, voila!!! HH Shamrock
