Intriguing suggestion on Etims that Sevco’s endgame here might b to release enuff damaging info (re the 5/6 way agreement) to undermine the SPFL…paving the way for their friends in the FTSFA to take total control of scottish fitbaw…thoughts?
Two things here that undermine any sevco attempts to use the terms of the 5WA:
1. From a legal perspective, more than 6-years have passed since the welfare guardians of sevco have been knowingly in receipt of that information. There is not a court throughout Europe which would see them as being anything other than complicit in the cover-up/fraud that may be contained within the pages of said document and if there is any element of that document which is perhaps self-incriminating, then sevco themselves have to be held accountable..........talk about putting a stake through your own heart?
2. UEFA and the Sports Minister would be obligated to take control of the governance of Scottish Football in the event that the SPFL was deemed not fit for purpose. By proximity to any evidence of wrongdoing, sevco (and representatives of sevco, as well as representatives of other clubs who participated in composing the document) would be eliminated from any discussions to form a new governing body. There is a worst case scenario where participation in European football is off the table for Scottish clubs, but the real injury of that decision would fall far harder on sevco than any other club.
Two weeks ago, sevco statement no: 23,465 cited the greater good of Scottish football. The only thing that they would be attempting by using the terms of the 5WA as a weapon of mass destruction, is footballing armageddon in this country!!!
Celtic will find another league to play in: League of Ireland, MLS, perhaps even England. Such a Machiavellian manouevre by sevco would pretty much make them the sporting equivalent of Covid-19.
By the way, the thoughts above are likely just horseshit musings of a bored mind, but there are still points of law that will have to be considered if this is the hun agenda.
