From President Macron today
“La saison de football ne pourra pas reprendre. Les grandes manifestations sportives et culturelles ne pourront se tenir avant le mois de septembre.”
…… or
“The football season cannot resume. The major sporting and cultural events cannot be held before September. ”
That might cause a bit of a rethink by UEFA when one of their big 5 leagues is forced to abandon their plans to complete their leagues during the summer.

Think your spot on Pod,Nosferatu on radio snyde, came out with, some clubs might go into administration, through no fault of their own, so should'nt face a 15 point deduction, is that why they've delayed announcing their interim accounts?
I suppose they will have emailed their interim accounts and the email will have got lost in cyberspace. Still, it gives them a chance to change the figures.

Didn't he also say that he thought the leagues should complete in September and that he was sorry Celtic would have to wait that long given the big lead that it holds? I'm sure I read that.

Hun radio making a statement that Neil Doncaster is earning £338000 a year whilst they are eye popping wages, it is not the CEO who decides the wage if you look at the EP down south it appears from the comment that the decisions are football decisions to employ people they need to adminstrate legal and finascial documents, its actually what Accountants, Solicitors, PR, can command.

Most Premier League CEOs earn north of £1m, so salary won’t be a barrier or an issue for clubs
Executive at a Premier League club

The rejections have left the recruitment process in tatters. Bruce Buck, the chairman of Chelsea FC, who is leading a five-person panel responsible for finding a new chief executive, has been forced to draw up a new shortlist in conjunction with the headhunters Spencer Stuart. Most Premier League CEOs earn north of £1m, so salary won’t be a barrier or an issue for clubs Executive at a Premier League club The panel has not discussed increasing the pay being offered, said a person close to its thinking. But offering a better pay packet has been recommended by many clubs in the league, as a way of flushing out stronger names, said a senior executive at one of England’s top teams, who added: “[When drawing up the original shortlist], we thought . . . ‘they are not paying enough’.” One argument being used to justify a potential increase in the pay award is that the Premier League post is comparable in standing to a FTSE 100 chief executive or commissioner of a US sports league.

On the topic of accounts. What is the position of a CEO, who is also a qualified professional accountant, managing a business that continues to trade whilst insolvent ? Not a good situation to find yourself in, if you see the situation looming.
Not pointing a finger at anyone.
