Aberdeen v Celtic match thread KO wed, 7.45pm….all comments in here

In the end a now typical performance. Excellent dominating first half and scoring 2+ goals, a mad 15 minutes in the 2nd where we lose control of the game and often a goal or two, then seeing the game out comfortably. Thought we should have used the subs earlier but other than that cant complain. Watched the game in Murphys Irish Pub in Alicante, local Celtic CSC based there, would recommend if anyone is in the area and looking to watch a game. All Celtic games shown(y)

Massive 3 points :) ..First 45 we strolled it without hitting anywhere near top form..Second half we gave away two awful goals..They didnt have to work hard for them at all..Who was supposed to be marking Ramirez at the free kick..? I think most of our team had an off night , just glad of Oreillys assists and Jotas sharpness..We cant play brill every game , not going to happen but showed heart of champions to win the game :) ps Jury still out on Maeda , early days but his link up play and first touch not good enough yet but hopefully that will come in time

Defo need to look to give quite a few a rest on Sunday. Still happy with Get Carter and Starfish as main pairing but ideal for at least one change in there with some sort of run out for Jullien.
If we can keep the rest fit and get Kyogo and Turnbull back for our last 10 games in the league ...we will be in fine fettle and giving ourselves every chance .

Was in the back row, top corner of the away end, no roof with the wind arriving off the sea hitting our backs. Baltic doesn’t do it justice, then a Bhoy walks past wearing his Celtic top and shorts! Longest second half of the season but job done!
Was in that part of the ground a few years ago in the middle of a blizzard with high winds. Bear Grylls wouldn’t have survived it 😂 got to be the worst area of any football ground in Britain

Thought we never really got our passing game going tonight, even with the dominance in the 1st half, it was still littered with slack passing still.
Allowed the sheep to get closer to us in the 2nd half and could play the gormless mib with getting the advantage of some ridiculous decision yet again.
We still have to remember what a new team we remain, and letting our own game to drop off, will allow teams to drag us down to there level especially with mib assistance.
Yet the biggest plus tonight imo, was how clinical we were in possibly the game we have created the less chances in all season.
Always been impressed with the character within this team, and tonight called and depended upon that to grind out another 3 vital points.
Let's not forget that we have still managed 18 points from 6 games, which has been a tremendous effort.
Tonight the style of play we have enjoyed may have been missing tonight but we still showed the quality of champions to respond when necessary and everything was going against us somewhat.
Well done bhoys and remain delighted with the result tonight
HH

Just watched our game on sportscene shows both their free kicks but not the fouls leading up to the free kicks, they must have been really soft to do that
Spot on....you could write the script before watching this sportshun pish....was it a pen for Sevco ...panel ...definitely a pen.
Was the Celtic goal offside... panel ...definitely Abada blocking off the Aberdeen player. .....GIRFUY. Great to watch their pain.

Just thick cunts mag 7,
The sheep defender made a bollocks of trying to challenge for the ball and trying to buy a free kick.
Would we have got the pen if Abada went for the ball and went down for the push in the back? Would we fuck, and didn't need it cause Jota took the opportunity brilliantly.
Differance, we don't depend on mibs for decisions unlike the other shower of scum

Think that's a really pertinent point which might partly explain the wee drop off in performance and the relatively off-key displays particularly from Maeda and Hatate.

The North Sea is absolutely brutal and the wind that drifts in from it is painful and raw upon the skin. You feel the temperature drop by the degree every 10 minutes and especially as the night draws in.

I was at Gayfield tonight thinking that it wasn't too bad to begin with, but by half-time, I couldn't feel my fingers and toes and it felt like my face was getting the death by a thousand cuts treatment aff the wind.

I'd love it if Arbroath managed to complete their miracle this season, but I hope they'd have to play their games at Dens, because the wind is horrific there the whole year round.

I think Aberdeen is colder, but Arbroath just about edges it on the windchill factor.

Brilliant three points under the circumstances, but you just know we're going to get screwed with another away game up there after the split if they're top 6. At least it'll be sub-tropical by Aberdonian standards in April, but I'm sure Bridie will confirm that that's when the wind up there suffers from multiple personality disorder in Spring.

It's laughable John ....they applaud Broony doing the very same thing blocking off Starfelt for the sheep goal ...but ours is controversial.......but your right a severe lack of education allows them these observations amongst other influences ...they cant help themselves.

I'm actually quite glad but not happy that we were pegged back so easily by Aberdeen in the second half.. .it's a wee reminder that we are by no means the finished article...a reminder not just to the players but to us the fans, me included who have already had us as invincible and league winners...sure the potential is there, we are for most, a great watch but the reality is that we have a long way to go until we are the team we currently think we are........let's keep grounded..all of us

....and for the lurkers...since Christmas, 7 games played in the league.....7 wins.....stick that in yer flutes Yan orange bastards

Job done. Tick that one off the list. Now onto the Dundee match. Having got the points, on reflection, I am not disappointed with the second half performance. It showed resilience. We need that, as we will face more of these type of matches in the run in. We didn't buckle. Well done lads. On to the next one with confidence. 🍀 .💚
