AZ Alkmaar v Celtic - Thursday 26 August, live on Premier Sports, kick-off 7.15pm - all comments here

For a team that got it's manager and players in late i'd be pretty proud of that performance and the teams standing to date ,we can pick through the negatives of losing 2 goals through poor mistakes but overal we held our own against a very good physical attacking team

we'll learn from it and move on with new players coming into the squad and Ange getting his own folk in now we can only get better and more ruthless

mon the Hoops 🍀 🍀

Sky reporting Celtic and Shamrock Rovers reach agreement for Celtic to sign Liam Scales.
Never seen the Bhoy play though. Reports from Ireland say he will be a top defender.

Only seen youtube highlights in the last month ,spoke to a mate whose a Finn Harps follower and his response was ''good, physical and glad to see the back o the ginger bollox :ROFLMAO:
so am guessing there's a player there

Spot on mate. We may have lost this game but AZ are a cut above anything in the SPL. Let’s remember the manky mob could only manage 0-0 against a 10 man mediocre Armenian side and squeak through by one offside goal. If we play like we did in our previous 3/4 games we’ll hammer this mob.
Fixed.

Alashkert were not mediocre, they are by far the worse "professional" team I've ever seen in Europe, and mind you, they're currently second from bottom on the Armenian league ladder!

Thought or defence played well, the two goals there isn’t a footballer on this site who swung at a ball and missed you could see on the lads face how he felt, yes. Joe H should have known better with his experience but more than made up for it
as for the game they set out to bully us harass the Ref into booking Celtic players
and like a few of or own Refs allowed them free range to push kick jump into and anything else to stop Celtic we got though a Big change from last season both in play and commitment roll on Sunday hopefully we will see the progress
Spot on
They're a decent team but they like to leave the boot in and there was a few 'off the ball' assaults on Kyogo, which went unpunished, also the big number 4 was throwing his elbows about (on Welsh, and Christie)
Hope wee Taylor is not out for a long while, as they concentrated on hitting him every time, after he injured his shoulder
Joe Hart and Carl Starfelt came good after a couple of nightmare moments
These things happen but hopefully not too often moving forward
I think we'll be up for the Sevconians on Sunday and Monty might get that goal he's been not too far away from, against the Huns
