The hype was maybe just a wee bit over the top! But we did actually have some bloody good players in that squad and on paper looked good enough to get to the later stages. Shame it all went to shit.

Remember it well it was my 1st away game with My Granda, Da & Uncle. Stayed with family in Liverpool had a great few days, those were the days when Scotland qualified for WCs. We had a decent team in those days.
