I take it there's no way we can know how many people have completed the form WC? On the same subject, is there a minimum number of complaints required before Ofcom force Talksport to make a statement? On the rare occasions I listen to the station, it's normally between 1 and 4 in the afternoon, the rest of it has become tedious, and I include Alan Brazil in that, so I'm keeping my eye on this thread to see what the outcome is.

Benignus I thought I read on here that Celtic FC legal team were involved and if so then we might wait a while for any statement from talksport.

Its good that we the supporters complained and we need to keep the pressure on but I believe that in this case being so serious it requires legal action from Celtic FC.

Morning Rose, good shout, but im off work this week so I might spend a wee bit of time today to see if I can find out how many complaints to Ofcom on any issue before they either investigate or make whoever is involved make a statement, I would imagine it all depends on any final ruling made by Ofcom pal.
 
Over on the dark side last night for a wee read, they are going nuts at Durham who got tore into the young scouser over his Feck Celtic comment in the back of the taxi, Durham was demanding that Sevco should send him down the road with immediate effect.
The orcs are saying his bottle has went as Celtics legal team have got at him.
Personally, I just wish that when Durham throws his line out, Celtic fans wouldn't take the bait of this 2nd rate host on his 2nd rate show.
Give him the silent treatment and he can't use us on his show, don't feed the ego.
 
Just checked the ofcom site, and talksport drive has received 90 complaints between the 2nd and 8th of April. Thats the 2nd highest number of complaints in this period, only a channel 4 news item has more. It doesn't say what the complaints are about but I would guess that the vast majority will be down to Celtic fans, but with this Charmless tosser, who knows.

WC wants us to complain about the typical hypocrisy from that odious little man and his contemptible claims of a talkshow. .....I, like you and everyone else on here.... like minded Celtic devotees.....agree with him, yet find this an unnavigable maze (Ofcom) and just cant find where I should 'click' into .......such as 'click here to kick Durham's oversized arse out the window'.

If they sorted this out AND made it easier for us, rather than just claim "its so easy" then God knows how many more complaints they would receive....probably make News at Ten.....

Just to clarify, B. These 90 complaints will all be unique complaints related to 90 different areas of concern. These figures will not reflect the actual complaints made about each specific subject.

In theory, there could be hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints made using the key-word "Celtic", but it will only be regarded as one complaint in the figures.

Ofcom can pretty much delegate an entire team to deal with TalkSport specifically due to the amount of complaints they receive each week. Their programming is designed to court controversy and they thrive on the footfall that their notoriety brings.

Durham states that he is an avowed socialist, he was a guest-speaker at a Union event I attended a few years back. His brand of socialism is more akin to the type that Hitler advocated and has no bearing on a fair distribution of wealth and resources.

He is a professional agitator and hides behind the cover of the calls being made to the show. He has the biggest vetting and production team in that organisation, so this excuse holds no merit when he allows some non-descript little englander to make slanderous comments on air.

Ofcom have previously and repeatedly warned this organisation regarding "fact-checking" and as of yet, no explanation or apology has been expressed regarding the shite that was uttered on that particular show.

The wider population are not fully aware of the anti-Celtic agenda that exists within the UK. They believe that all issues are related to a relatively small portion of the island, but the fact is - that the fear and loathing exists far beyond the West Coast of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Thanks for clearing that up SP, didn't know that. I've also just noticed that people looking to fill in the complaint form should go to the opening post by WC where the link is clearly marked.
The other shocker for me is that Durham claims to be a socialist, he never came across that way back in the day when I gave the clown my ears, defo quite happy to go along with the sickening wages that the players in England are on, a cheerleader in fact.
I don't like feeling I'm getting conned, that's why I turn off the shock jock style of radio hosts who are looking for hits or phone calls, they're playing the numbers game, feck them.
