Despicable Me, Alex Rae is The Loser's Loser

Haha. Looks like the government are going to declare that the football season is over so that prize money can be paid out. Sevco are so desperate for cash that they will jump at the chance there might be no relegation this season and a bigger league a win win. We would be denied the opportunity to win a treble this season. No CL or EL finish. It’s the cleanest way to give finality to the season

The rabble rousing dimwittery from EBT Alex is now complete, because if you didn't know it before then, he now tells us personally of his selective retardation.

Since being a schoolboy dullard Rae continues to carry the mantle of a typically thick hun,.... If it was possible for the baldy tit to make a bigger prick of himself, then this is it for him
'Asking for a friend' is his way out of passing the buck onto someone else, and only adding to his pandering to the knuckledragging hordes.

He makes a fatal mistake when talking about horses, hurdles and races because Celtic NEVER fell at the last hurdle, .............. there is no last hurdle.

Celtic were content and well prepared to finish the course put in front of them but the governing body decided to take the race away from ALL of the competing participants.
At this precise point Celtic ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE.

He would have been better staying on at school than trying to be a failure at football, though he does know a lot about horseshit...... however.

Thus, being Thirteen points clear of the entire chasing pack has handed the winners rostrum to Celtic.

Clutching at daisies on the edge of a cliff on behalf of a third rate club at the death throes of its end days, is all he and THEM have left to cheat us out of being league champions.

Alex............ NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN you filthy animal.

The SPFL rules are quite clear that the season is defined by the last game played I quote it below

Season means the period of the year commencing on the date of the first League Match in a Season and ending on the date of the last League Match in the same Season or otherwise as determined by the Board and which excludes the Close Season;

Some will point to the number of games (38) which normally constitutes a season BUT (and I'm getting fed up posting this overriding rule A3 That rule is unenforceable!!!!

A3 Each Rule shall be construed separately and, if any Rule or provision in these Rules may prove to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such illegality, invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the remaining Rules which shall continue in full force and effect.

Ideally the season can get restarted but I suspect this is impossible. Notwithstanding this it is clear that the rules state that the team in first position if the Board declares that the season is ended s the Champion. Talking about horses or other diversions simply ignores that the rules are very clear even in these extraordinary times. If no more games take place then Celtic are the Champions. That's a fact. Them's the rules. We get denied the chance of a treble.

Hi Doc, I fully acknowledge that I can often be contrary for the sake of contradiction, but both you and I are fully aware that rules and policies do not supercede law.

When ambiguity is the general rule, then often two or more parties seek legal remedy to find conclusion.

Is there any doubt (that with what is at stake here and the potential pathway to a significant pot of money) that this rule will be challenged if it is enforced?

Sport has managed to avoid much of the lawful arguments that other industries have had to face, largely due to the good faith of its participants, but if the circus era of zombies inc has taught us anything, it is that they love a good bit of litigation.

The rule (as written) is still rather vague and ambiguous. There is plenty of scope for several interpretations of said codes and sub-codes based on the agenda of any given party who has a dog in the fight.

Where we see a defined policy - they see nothing of the sort.

Even if it was just to prolong and delay the inevitable, are any of us under the illusion that they won't try litigate to the point to exhaustion?

Well said SP. That shower of scumbags don't know how to play by the rules as evidenced by their attitude towards paying the bills and fleecing HMRC. The way they were allowed to restart after dying shows that the corrupt SFA has their backs.
Anything can happen and the reason it's taken so long to announce that Celtic has won the league is because the powers that be are busy re-writing the rule book to suit the tribute act.

Shammy, I'm pretty lucky that I don't live at the epicentre of the orange triangle, but I'm not oblivious to the fact that there is a fair amount of jiggery-pokery (in all walks of life) that seems to tilt the scales in favour of the loyal marching brethren.

Rules were only written to be re-interpreted to suit the circumstances. There will be a dedicated and concentrated effort by the staunch to ensure that the rules will be read in such a way as to suit their favoured ones.

That's why the preference is always to win it on the pitch by the fairest means possible (and even that's a job and three-quarters with the compliancy of the officials on their behalf).

Since we are still in the Scottish Cup, no-one has prevented us from holding onto it so do we remain as the holders until the conclusion of a new competition?
