I can appreciate that your responses are well thought out and these opinions are clearly something you hold dear,
but for me expanding markets on a set budget will not put our club at risk of the bubble bursting and and the club becoming a Phoenix company
I think you're conflating alot of points here capitalism or socialism for a start theres no magic wand here but to hand over freedoms to a body that will outright govern us when we have seen how easy it is to corupt humans never mind the structures that have been put in place to run our countries for me is a crazy idea,
We need to get back to a local community based system where these communities can run and help each individual community as and where it needs it I'm sure we can agree theres not a 1 size fits all to solve this problem but if we get people to start caring about more than what's just behind their own front door communities could thrive in a capitalist system,
Is it corupt yes but it's the human element of greed and the overwhelming need to succeed that's makes it easier for the 1% to control the little man who may make that difference but now is controlled by the good old boys club, it's a societal problem where our mind sets are set to selfish, its us and ours no1 now and no3 but back years ago the population was less well off but there was a community who served to make sure old mags was fed etc...
Anyway back onto the actual point of this thread their is certainly markets we could exploit and enrich out club that needs to be done in a clear and deliberate way where we are not risking our history,tradition and good name on the world stage these things can be achieved we broke 100m on a small island run by the powers who are against us because we are against them! We have to try, it would be sheer neglect of the board duties not to try keep us grown and "mondernize" our structures. Cheers mate

but its no really expanding on the significant markets
And tbh to expand in those markets you usually need to diversify away from the community spirit to tap into the world market
its a bit like trying to enter a saturated market with hopes that there are huge areas to soak up
But to do that you ultimately need to shaft the local community in one way or another
bottom line for me is capitalism isnt really a sustainable way to perpetually grow despite that underlying premise
The football markets have totally stagnated and now imo its just scam artistry to pay big bucks to the unseen magicians in background while not actually improving the prospects of club nor making any real dent in the market place which has been hijacked by the superficial propaganda machines that are the tv and advertising companies
Celtic imo should not be exploiting global markets with any more vigour than they did by putting out local community years ago
in fact that approach had celtic the envy of world
not by paying mercenaries and big wages but by building a community from the community
that cannot ever be acheieved by capitalistist market exploitation and in the end the clubs who get back to community and hire real people rather than mercenaries will be able to compete against your supeficial monsters in time
for that market system we have now is unsustainable
it can only be propped up by more and more propaganda but eventually it kills the community or the community disconnects from the superficial fake propaganda and gets back to the reality
in the meantime you will get grumblers who demand to be part of the superficial changes because change and evolution is sacred to them
but not all change is good
And a monstrous americanised market system and purely superficial mood worshipping system will kill the whole celtic ethos
11 guys trained from community to take on all comers representing the community because its important to them more so than superficial market exploitation for monopoly style world domination for a colour coded system
its just not sport or football
and its killing the game
these overpaid internationals on at moment it probably the least attractive footballing competition i ever witnessed
its just gash getting paid millions for being well gash
but lets get a part of the millions coz everybody addicted and contradicted
you cant be celtic historically by becoming intermilan imo
and celtic gubbed the superficial inter milan with their overpaid superstars by being a real community where markets were part of the community rather than their to be exploited for benifit of the hidden people
