Been drinking too much Leo beer after watching on pirate TV out here in Issan ,Thailand.
What I am going to say now very few folk will remember.
As a very squat built Lt Mdl at 70kg, the coaches tried to get me down to welter.? In the club we had a guy called John M'ginn who were the the Scottish Leight weight "Junior" champion in 1974. He were a prospect like Buchanan.
The father of Vernon Solas who worked for BR, his son car radio theft blocked his Commonwealth games appearance. Nobody wanted to shower beside Vernons dad since he had a banana that a donkey would envy. At the same tim3 Billy Lauder from loanhead and othersvfrom Mactargart Scott would come down with all the gear.
In fact we had a guy called "Douglas Vickers" Who were light heavy but sparred with me.
Cy Harrison from St Andrews Fife had won a medal for Scotland at the Commonwealth games. So we all grew a moustache like hime. Ten years later porn stars in the US would copy us.
Point I am making id that the girl and guy beside you the bus has their own problems and demons.
To tead the guff about an unfortunate family disaster wants me throw up.
Father died at 1967 aged 11 in Logans road motherwell. No social help, stepfathers etc.....
Now live in a lean too at a rice field.
