religious exemption

Imho religious beliefs are an acceptable excuse for not playing football or going to work, so long as no one is put in danger by it.

I noticed that 2 teams from Israel played conference group games on Tuesday, I assume its for the same reason.

As a club open to all, I'm glad we could facilitate Abada in this regard.

Well done Celtic.

Completely agree, 50. If someone's religious beliefs are such that observing their high holy days at times conflicts with playing, they should be excused. Can't speak to the conference group games, but the Israeli Premier Leauge had its last match on Monday then took the rest of the week off for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

It's a little disappointing that some of you have a problem with that. And by the way, Winter, I don't think Barkas is Jewish -- and even if he is and chose to play on Yom Kippur, that would be his decision.

I'm not a connoisseur of haute cuisine, but nary a touch of red meat or land-walking creature will pass my lips today.

I'm not a zealot or a prescriber to faith, but a man has to believe and we have to believe in the man.

Give thanks and let our God bless him
Aye you gave up land walking creatures for drinking gallons
Many packets of crisps you on a week
I’ll bet they Smokey bacon kick ass as a vegan

Feckin peanuts? Mate

Peanuts and a wholesome whack o' anything that the human race is carrying.

Btw, if you've got an older sister, auntie, or single mum that needs a bit o' counselling- then I'm your man

Fair play SP, not to many uphold that tradition in the Catholic religion these days and I don't anyway.
Believe that no one has the right to question anyone's faith or religious beliefs, and should never be the case either.
Actually admire people who have stronger faith and belief than myself in general and would never think of questioning anyone on the matter regardless of the religion involved.
Not a subject to be questioned imo, as a personal choice on belief and faith.
