I too get goosebumps whenever I hear it, also a numerous playlist from the Sixties. It's simple... written in 1945 by Rodgers & Hammerstein "You'll never walk alone " for the musical Carousel.
How many magical moments have we all had throughout the years singing and listening to this chorus as we made unbroken history at paradise and elsewhere....no contest.
I sang YNWA with my 3 brothers and 3 sisters as I lowered my wee maw in the groon mate. We all did as a seven with respect.I too agree no matter when I hear it I get goosebumps. Also have many genres from the Sixties
Most iconic for me is The Rose.. Bette Midler.
It is such an iconic song.I sang YNWA with my 3 brothers and 3 sisters as I lowered my wee maw in the groon mate. We all did as a seven with respect.
Part of our life at Celtic Park and no doubt for generations to
Whenever I hear " the levellers" it takes me back to the last Scottish independence referendum. No heard The Levellers for a long time. Rediscovered the album Levelling The Land last night.
Big brother is a massive fan of 'the boss'It is simple for me. This song has been next to me to support me when my best pal died, my Dad passed away, Big Jock died in Cardiff, I got married and had a child. I know most folks in Scotland don't get him - I really don't care.
Used to get regular listenings to 'the river' great album , double album if I remember correctly with sherry darling and other good stuff on there. It is simple for me. This song has been next to me to support me when my best pal died, my Dad passed away, Big Jock died in Cardiff, I got married and had a child. I know most folks in Scotland don't get him - I really don't care.
Sean out of coronation street should do a cover of that tune, his voice and appearance seem very similarNever mind what 'Kid Jensen' says.
One of the most under rated bands ever.
Truly amazing lyrics and musicianship ...
Cheers Winter...a blast from the past for meMakes me laugh ( my first post on this thread) where I'm talking about the family arguing over whose turn it was next to play a record on the ' radiogram' .
This thing took up half the length of the living room wall , two slide open doors on top that would open and reveal the 'record player' and the radio which run down the right side of the turntable and had big round knobs the size of a green grinder, all the stations were named so you didnt have to flaff about to find Radio Luxembourg and it lit up as well.
The front had two pull open doors that were intended for storing the records but in a family of 5 siblings & ma and da 7 of us ( a medium sized family at that time) storage space at a premium meant quite often my school uniform and socks were in there instead
Always a favourite
