If not Howe, Who?

This guy Agne might not be so bad. He's basically an Aussie, comes across as a bit prickly in some of his earlier interviews but seems no-nonsense. Doesn't seem like he would put up with under performers. No idea about his tactical abilities etc. Potential high entertainment value here also but appreciate that's not our no.1 priority right now!
Dont think he is the type LC20 that will take any shit from either players or staff, they say he is a big Greek headcase if he thinks somebody is taking the mickey..

If it is Postecoglou then it'll be interesting to see who his coaching team will be. I'd imagine he will want/need someone with Scottish football/Celtic specific knowledge. Ideally, as mentioned by Kelly earlier, Duff and/or Maloney would be great. McManus or O'Dea is more likely. It shouldn't be Kennedy or Strachan, we need a clean break from last season and Kennedy needs to go an be his own man somewhere else

Things are coming together now.
Fergal Harkin is the man who recommended Ange Postecoglou,so imo we should be thinking Fergal Harkin is coming with him or even better he has already arrived.
Fergal Harkin IMO is as good at his job as Rodgers was at his.

HH
Fergal Harkin if he is involved in some capacity can only be judged upon what he brings into the club GS.
And if this choice of manager is his first big decision then its hardly one I would be getting to excited about, plus Howe seemed to be hardly to impressed with the type of players we are looking at currently.
So hardly a great start if reports are true

Would say keeping the JK factor would be a huge reason as to why we are struggling to attract a proper all round quality coaching team Gary

Just read a bit from Daniel Arzani the loan player we got from Man City who said he would never have come to Celtic if he had known Brendan Rodgers knew nothing about the loan deal.
He said Brendan took me aside and said he would give me the same chance as he gives all his first team squad,he also told me it would be very difficult to break into the midfield.
Arzani said his loan deal was done by Mark Lawwell at Man City and Peter Lawwell his father at Celtic,if Rodgers had to put up with that what chance did Lenny have..

Aye but Lenny KNEW that before he came back. That was why he done one in the first place. He came back cos it suited him and PL, he was spent at Hibs too. We should have tried harder to get a better Manager then.
PL had pissed off BR with his interfering so brought someone back he knew he could manipulate.

Could be a reason but Howe was apparently given carte blanche to bring in a whole backroom team. The thing is anyone from outwit UK will probably want someone 'local' to assist, rightly so, however Kennedy is the go to guy for our board and he is now damaged goods with the support

Got my suspicions around JK and I know if I was a manager, I wouldn't feel comfortable having him around the place, just think he may well be a rat bastard running back carrying stories to management

Ange Postecoglou? Are they taking the c*nt?

Beginning to think Desmond and Lawell are the Randolph and Mortimer Duke of the fitbaw world and they've got a £1 bet on with one another to see how far they can push the support before we finally snap!

There comes a point when you've got to realise you're being taken for a fucking mug by these people and you need to draw a line in the sand....been a season ticket holder for 20 plus years but if Desmond and Lawell think they can get away with appointing this guy and I'm paying another £560 for a ST (that I'll probably no get to use again anyway) then they're fucking deluded!

He's Lawwell's bhoy. And given the rumours that Lawwell may still be on the board even after he steps down as CEO is worrying.
Not worrying Gary, disgraceful that he is still involved in any capacity whatsoever.
Stripped the club of finances and been handsomely rewarded for doing so, if someone can explain how that's makes sense then feel free to say so, but until then I will just carry on detesting him and his involvement within the club

It's really no surprise to read the comments from Arzani, GS. I always felt there was more to BR's decision to leave. I've not got a problem with him deciding to go back down south. The only thing I found fault with was the timing of it. Someday, we'll hear his side of the story.

So this Ange guy, no work permit, no uefa licence. Hows that going to work out?

I'm praying this is some journo being fed bullshit to keep them off the scent of the new target but I have a horrible feeling there might be something to this...while I wasn't exactly dancing in the street at the prospect of Howe becoming manager he's fucking Pep Guardiola compared to this no-mark!

A fucking joke if it happens!

I stopped praying 50 odd years ago S2. ..Still hoping though.

After an invincible season and no investment in taking the club to a higher level in European competition will always be a factor imo.
PL traitor set him up nicely to take the fall and save his own bacon imo.
We have stopped acting as a proper football club for 3 seasons now, and still don't seem to be much change on the horizon by the latest events.
