Ange

Again how much clout will his word carry with such little knowledge of the European market.
As I said, has he got a few gems waiting on the opportunity to shine? I really hope so.
Wouldn't mind him knocking JK into shape either as I wouldn't trust him for the life of me.
So do I. I have a feeling he may keep Barkas as he speaks Greek and maybe can instill some confidence into him. We need to sort out set pieces as we were woefully bad at them last term. I think NL lost the dressing room last year, can't see Ange sitting on his arse with his arms folded.

I dont think we have to worry about what he knows about the European Market to be honest. Ive always thought that to be a strange thing for us to be concerned about. That's what a club has scouts and contacts for, Granted our scouting system has been shocking, but it won't all be down to the new manager to source new players. And I'd imagine, although he has been managing in Japan, he's kept an eye on European football. Sounds to me like that was always his main goal.

I think he will be backed. Our new ceo in his interview pretty much said that this was a great decision and he was fully on board with it. If Dom let’s it fall at the first hurdle his own credibility is toast.
Feel better about this appointment than when Lennon got thejob in the showers.

Agreed Lubos, but you also hope he has an imput on player recruitment, as there has been a feeling of the manager having to make do with what players they are given of late.
Hoping that there is a major change in that department.
Great to hear he seems to be preparing to give the younger player a much fairer opportunity.
Like I say, words mean nothing it's his actions and decisions that will count in delivering the requirements for the club.
At least he comes across much better than that tosser Eddie Jones

I think having worked for many years in the Aussie youth teams he may we'll give some of our young players a chance. I hope so, I've always thought if you're good enough, you're old enough. NL didn't give them a chance, too many times he stuck with the old guard, even when it wasn't working.

The hope is he's already told the CEO what sort of player he needs....the CEO will pass that information onto the scouting team....(don't laugh at the back), who will then send out details to their contacts in Europe. Our manager then should recieve detailed reports on players around Europe who may fit into his plans. Then, hopefully, its left to the manager to decide who to spend his money on. 🤞🤞🤞

Both ange and Dom come across well in there sales pitch and say all the right things ,but i'll haud off the happy clapping till i see what set up he puts in place regarding the backroom and recruitment ,Lawwell hasn't went away and certainly hasn't let the purse strings go

So if the fella brings in his own staff picks his own players, encourages the youths to step up , he'll get my full backing anything less is a lawwell production and kinda fed up going down that road

So we go from almost immediately appointing Neil Lennon, who brings us the Quadruple Treble and goes down in a blaze of less-than-glory as he punts the 10, to a-hundred-and-something days without a manager and finally ending up with Ange Postecoglou. No European experience? Who cares? Contrary to popular belief, there is great football being played by teams all over the globe, and they're being led by managers who could easily make the grade in Europe. I think Ange is one of those.

Watched his interview. He's the real deal. He's got a lot of talent at his disposal, from the returning loanees to the talent on the reserves to the current first team. A couple of key acquisitions and Celtic can be back on top again.

Now that he's signed, sealed and delivered, we need to back him 100 percent going forward.

Looking at the stats of his old team we are going to have a team of players who are at least fit. I always thought that's what set us apart in the invincible season, our ability to outlast every other team. It was also sevcos strongest asset this season...that and their ability to avoid conceding penalties and covid. If he gets it right and the players buy into his vision, I can see a season full of exciting football and lots of goals.

The goals against column more so wins you titles Lubos, so plenty of work needed in that department.
Will be interesting to see if he opts for a 3 or a 4 at the back, as our lack of quality in the full back's role cost us very badly last season
