Just to clarify winter, I personally don't believe anyone should not renew ST on the strength of the PL traitor situation at present.
Saying that, if there feelings are so strong about the situation then it is best all round if they didn't.
Why?
Because I hope that celtic Park never is to become a protest area against the board and I fear that this could become the case.
We need our supporters now in a time we haven't witnessed for a very long time, not demonstrators.
I still have concerns about what players we could bring into the club with PL still involved, but we can't make any judgement yet as we haven't seen any still.
No doubt Ange and Dom will be judged upon this issue more so than anyone, as they will no doubt get the backlash if it were to be a disaster.
We know PL has a track record of acting the bollox in this area and has caused us damage as such.
We are all expecting change in most areas within the club, will we get that change with the involvement of PL traitor?
I still remain sceptical

I think that you're mistaking what his role is there. He was voted onto the ECA not Celtic and he was voted onto the ECA to represent Scottish football clubs and Celtic not Celtic alone. McKay said that his contract with the ECA has 2 years to run and he can call on him for advice should he require it. This is not saying pl has 2 years to go at Celtic far from it he has 1 week to go. HH

You know this how Dom stated that he’s away next Wednesday and he’s the Scottish representative on the ECA and the Bold Dom will be running the 3 Departments with Ange in charge of his
The only bit I agree with is the length of time it takes to sign someone
But prepared to give the new CEO his place rather than fixate on the past one

It would be a setback for Scottish football if we had no reps on this ECA ( dont know how much good they do but it's better we have someone there representing Scottish football matters) and tbh who better than the most successful CEO in Scottish football history ( still cant stand him) but cant dismiss his achievements either. He messed it all up by sticking around far too long. I will say that if McKay can deliver even close to the hate figures success levels I'll be more than happy ☘

No , am not renewing because am entitled.
I said he myself I would renew if we had made at least 1 decent signed before the ST deadline. A show of intent by the club so to speak.
They haven't done that so am not renewing. Peter Lawwell still being at the club has just confirmed that I definitely won't be.

I get your point winter, but I don't see what good he has done for Scottish football in the ECA.
In fact I would go as far as to say he has been a better ambassador for sevco scum (SS) than for us.
So many unanswered questions surrounding the scum within European football and still got the support from eufa over the racist incident when they deserved the book thrown at the cheating bastards.
If that's the support he gives us within Europe then sorry its a support I would rather not have.

But if you listened to the Ange press conference then you mustve heard clearly as I did that lawell is finished as of July 1st? He will continue to represent Scottish football clubs at the ECA ( inc. Celtic, the rangers, double winners st johnstone and Scottish club football as a whole) and McKay can call on him for advice should he require it. I would expect no less from an outgoing CEO to a new incoming one with no fitba experience. My biggest concern from the press conference was not about lawell or Ange P but how quickly the DOF question was put to bed. That concerned me as that's something that a club like Celtic needs. Hopefully it was just as they said " well take things as they come " HH

Aye I've said already johnno I dont know what if any benefits being on the ECA brings us. It might bring other clubs the smaller ones like ss st johnstone etc some benefit but due to the lack of transparency or interest even in the ECA your guess is as good as mine 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was the Celtic CEO who was on the ECA? You must realise though it's not only Celtic hes to represent. For all we know he mightve been part of the champions route proposal for the champions league qualifiers. Probably not but who knows? My point is he was voted onto the ECA to represent Scottish football not just Celtic you get me glasbhoy? I'm no lawell fan either but even were he still the CEO going into this season I'd have still renewed. Faithful through and through. Your opinion is as valid as anyone else's on the noise and whilst I may not agree with it I still respect it HH

Get the impression he will have total control over all football matters, just the same as lenny 😔
Could he be taking on to big of a role for 1 man?
Maybe so, as our team were seriously under prepared for many a match last season.
All in favour of revamping the youth set up but this will possibly be a few seasons before we gain the real benefits.
He's already stated now that time is against us at present and things have to be sped up now as we are still in slow motion with the season starting just over 3 weeks now.
Surely we should have a CB at least in position by next week at latest or you would worry about just getting in panic buys.

I found the presser a confident one on the whole. I'm sure we have players on our radar but clubs know that we are desperate for cover and that could bump the price up for players that may not be worth that much. I'd love sviatchenko back thought we got rid too quickly and that appears to be the case given his form though he wasnt called up to the Danish side. That's no major issue when they have christenson and the like. He was called up when playing for us and I'm sure hed jump at the chance of a return ( hopefully before we play them 😆😆) I like the way Ange conducts himself and how he spoke of the size of the Celtic brand in Australia and Asia , something we knew but always good to hear from someone coming from there. I'm actually starting to think have we just appointed the most experienced manager in our history? Bloody hope so 🤞🏻

We still have to give them an opportunity POD.
We now know that the appointment of Ange is the work of Dom, so already made a huge call, and none of us know yet weather its a good or bad decision yet.
