Transfer Rumours

Is there a reason why we don't just buy him outright to start with? I suppose this safeguards him in case he doesn't settle or fails, but the cost is so relatively small that it is not that much of a risk for us compared to 90%+ of the rest of our purchases.
Huv yi been piyin attention BB the Board will always take the cheapest option it’s the
Poooonstreicher show for them.
But agree it’s half a bonus piyment fur the Board.

Multiple Japanese outlets reporting in the last 30 minutes that Daizen Maeda is expected to join Celtic on loan with a €2m purchase option to be exercised this summer. Based on variety of sources I'd say this is done.
He was the one of the three that I really wanted to sign. What a delight to do business early for a change.

Huge assest, being willing to organise a defence, too many 'keepers too quiet. I remember Jennings but I think he was at the end of his career when I got into football with Mexico 86, I've seen a lot of clips over the years. High praise!
How is he with cross balls and holding shots? see a lot of parries and sometimes it looks like he could hold rather than deflect, is that a weakness or is he sound?
I would agree that he does push out or punch when he could retain the ball. However, that could be coached.......goalies can do drills to change habits.
I have only seen clips of him playing in Slovakia, but when he turns out for the Czech U21s he has impressed. He has a wee bit of the Forster about him as he uses his body as a wall and he closes down space well too.
I doubt Celtic would be interested given our portfolio of goalkeepers, but keep an eye out for him as I think he'll do really well in the game.

Maybe we want to use available cash to make current loanees with option to buy permanent signings this window (Jota & CCV) and bring in loans to make permanent in the summer if we can.
Cashflow.

I guess so but I thought transfer fees were ususlly paid in 3 installments of 40%, 30% & 30%. I guess if we can delay larger payments - particularly in today's unstable business climate - then that makes sense. I am so happy and good luck the latest Samurai Fenian.

Well seeing as this is a thread dedicated to transfer romours, does anyone know anything at all about the Gladbach playmaker Hannse Wolf? Personally I suspect it is probably clickbait nonsense but just wondering if anyone has any insight in case there is a grain of truth in the rumour.

I suppose the other reason could be to make sure he settles in a different country with huge cultural and language differences between Japan and our madhouse. As long as the agreement to buy at €2m is cast iron then I'm happy with that. If we also sign Ideguchi then that may be on the same type of deal given his problems settling in at Leeds.

And another??

Separating this from Maeda thread: Hochi reporting that Gamba Osaka aiming to sign Shonan Bellmare MF Mitsuki Saito (currently on loan to Rubin Kazan), describing him as a replacement for "Celtic-bound Yosuke Ideguchi."
Could that be the 3 Japanese players Gary as lost track due to not having a clue about there names 😂
