Well Being

my uncle/pal, dads older brother,
the oldest swinger in town/peter pan
the bhoy who never grew old, died earlier this year and they played this at his funeral
was his favourite song and in truth a song that tells a comforting version of the story we'll all come to face
one day when i'm old and kids are older, i'll make sure we share this together and they understand the message.....♥️

I trust all Noisers are keeping well? It has been a very tough couple of years for pretty much everybody. Now we are nearly back to a more normal way of life (if you ignore the ongoing war, energy crisis, rampant inflation, currency crash, disaterous government, etc, etc) it appears as though society has lost a lot of tolerance these days.

Sadly here on the Noise there have been a series of fallings out and it looks like we may have lost a few well known contributors (hopefully only temporarily). I am all for serious debate and fighting your cause but please can you try to keep things civil.

Recently there has been a big increase in overly aggressive arguing, posturing and threats - please folks, there is no need for it. You don’t know what people are going through in their personal life so there is no need for some of the posts in the last week or so. You will never change someone's opinion so it is often a waste of time bickering back and forward.

Thankfully the funeral is tomorrow so we might be past all that, but we are about to enter a period with no Celtic games which usually leads to fun and games!

Call me a snowflake or slag me off if you want, but hopefully we can go back to being a mostly friendly forum which discusses Celtic's ups and downs and ups. Before we drive away other posters.

Take care folks. HH 🍀

Well said
And some of the grammatical errors, punctuation and repetition, is beyond the pale
There's always going to be disagreements, and those who continue to 'argue their point' must be getting something out of it, as I've never seen anyone change their mind after someone rammed an opinion down their throat
There's 3 sides to every story, we've all got our own faults and lives, so it's a case of prioritising (for me anyway) as to how it affects my everyday life
Family
Celtic
The rest

Had a coffee yesterday with an old friend
He's dealing with Parkinsons
When I ordered the coffees, he said "Get mine in a 'to go' cup with a lid, otherwise it'll go all over the place
He was standing outside a store, shaking, when the security guard came over and asked him, if he was cold
"No son, I've got Parkinsons"
He said the boy looked sheepish and was embarrassed, but he reassured him "It's awrite son, thanks for your concern"
Brilliant guy, even for a Rangers fan, known him for forty years and he's got a great sense of humour
Anyway, thank your lucky stars, if you have your health
Getting older is ok, but the side effects are not great ;-)
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay well

Hope your pal is ok Dill not that you get better with this pure Barsteward of an illness.
My next door neighbour has got the same illness he suffers from the waist down he’s been the best neighbour you could have him and his misses are real gems.
To me along with The big C they are the worst of all as they rob you of your Dignity
So as Dill has said
Stay, well and Healthy all

"Ireland quickly became the biggest source of human livestock for English merchants."

surely the brits and souptakers were not human traffiking

Reading Material for the morro
I think this is on the wrong thread boab - Irish History one is more appropriate? Normally no big deal but IMO its probably best to keep politics off of this thread?

Yeah, as he said, he's not angry about getting it, he just deals with it as best he can
CBD oil and some other meds help him
We get together for coffee at times and he always gives me a big hug as we talk of times past when we were young, fit and healthy, and got up to all sorts
He sends me emails, and he'll sign off with 'Shakin Stevens' or some other funny nickname
It's how we roll
My balance is way off these days, I lose my balance quite a bit, and it looks like I'm pissed, due to some 'occlusions in arteries in the brain'
We just laugh now, as I get up to head into the kitchen and 'dance' across the living room in the other direction:D:LOL::cool:
Walking Georgia helps cos she will lean into me and keep me balanced...physically, if not mentally 🤪
We all have 'something' to deal with, I worry more about my family, as I've always managed to maintain my sense of humour...and...some 'balance' in my life 😆
Take care of yourselves, and see the smile in life, even if you're feeling down, there's always someone dealing with a lot more than yourself
Don't forget to love yourself, as your family and friends need you at your best
Health, and good fortune to all the noisers
This is my world, right here
Liliana was asleep and Georgia decided to watch over her, while also snoozing ;-)Sleeping Beautiy Babies .jpg

I've always managed to maintain my sense of humour...and...some 'balance' in my lifencing come

Comfortably numb stay strong. Be dancing come 2023
I'd recommend walking to lift your spirit, to most people, if possible
There's nothing like getting out in the fresh air and if you've got a friend with you, be they 2 legged, or 4 legged, it really does you the power of good
I used to walk the legs off our Beau, and when we got home he'd sleep the soundest sleep, for hours, poor old bugger
