Catch up with you later shammy.

For years whenever I've been called a FB, must be in the hundreds of times, mostly jovial, sometimes serious, my normal reply is "and don't you forget it", I feel it's like turning their insults against them, and as someone mentioned earlier, very similar to our black brothers and sisters taking ownership of the 'N' word. I smiled when I first seen the guys moniker, only because I thought he was the unrepentant Manhattan FB.
I didn't realise we had this form of censorship where someone can have their name altered for anything unless serious vulgarity or similar reasons. Whats next, rules and guidelines? Surely not troops, I thought we were cuter and wise enough to look after ourselves.
MFB is a name I would never have chosen, because I know it would defo cause offence to some, but I still defend the guys right to choose his own moniker, apologies to anyone who was offended but sometimes we have to take the rough with the smooth on any forum.
It's bad enough having censorship on a Celtic forum but with the amount of members we have, then to decide that one person gets offended (2 if you count the admin) is disappointing. That's not just censorship it's dictatorship as well. How sad that 2 people can decide how to run a football forum

So one person was offended (well 2 including you) and you made the decision to change it???
Glad it was a well thought out process then
The fella doesn't appear to have taken too much umbrage, jinxy.

He's posted since the change and I don't think he's mentioned anything regarding it.

Nobody's barred him or ran on the pitch to kick the ball away........it's been dealt with.

No harm, no foul

I get the lad hasn't made a big deal of it fair play to him, but my ire is about the decision making, one person (2 if you count admin)?????

Wind yer neck in its me that makes your blood boil and your taking a kick at admin for it.

Was i really the only one offended by such a term because i read other posts that were offended too.

Dont let that spoil your new narrative though pot stirrer
