Transfer Rumours

Matt O'Riley wants to break into the Denmark squad ahead of the World Cup. A first pick at Celtic and playing in the Champions League will give him a better chance of doing that than being a squad player at a mid table EPL team like Leicester.
O'Riley, Juranovic, Abada, Kyogo, all linked away since end of last season by the SMSM who are desperate for us to sell our best players.

Of course they would Gary and why wouldn't they?
They are desperate to break this current team and squad up as quickly as possible as anyone can see that Celtic are back for years to come and with a manager that can spot and find such talent at such low fees, and what's killing the bastards is we don't need or want to sell any of our players either.
With the SMSM being such scum is it any surprise they follow the scum in the manner that they do with printing such shite trying to unsettle our players?

Nailed it!

That’s why it is inconceivable that any Celtic minded person would support the SMSM in any way whatsoever...

A brilliant reply by Oor Ange....after he was asked aboot O'Riley........

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is not worried about Leicester City being linked with midfielder Matt O'Riley, saying it only proves the 'SUCCESS' of his own club's signing policy..... ;)

I don't think we would entertain any interest for our star men at this stage of rebuild. The CL cash allows us a bit of luxury in that we don't need to sell at this precise moment.
Looks like we have done our business but hope that we are still working hard on getting Ajeti Jullien and potentially Mikey Johnston new clubs probably on loan deals as not many would buy outright as they stand.
That might just allow for one more forward to come in before the window closes.

Any idea with how many loan places are available for us still?
A pain in the hole now having to use up loan places with getting players out of the club more so than being used upon player development.
Would be disgusted if lawel lost out on a potential loan move cause we have to use his potential spot up upon deadwood still.
Would rather the club took the hit more so in order to give the promising youngster a better opportunity imo

Now that you mention it I think the rules are 8 loans in or out in Scotland John and I think we've still got 2 slots available with Monty Scales Barkas Hazard and Soro all out and the big Fella Jenz in.

Thanks mag 7, I thought it was 8 loan out only with youngsters who have been in the clubs academy is unlimited as such, but wouldn't be sure if that's correct either.
So maybe Monty and MJ could fall into that category with the academy, leaving room for the likes of lawel, yet still no idea where hazard fits into this whole new loan system still, maybe Gary could put us all right upon the confusion

I didn't know that about the loan system I wid leave the deadwood way the b team instead of blocking boys like lawal and vatta to get good experience

Some angry mutton molestors protesting at their game this week holding up signs "no more Celtic loans"! How to make Scales feel wanted and settled.

They are forgetting how Ryan Christie helped them enormously when on loan from us, but then many of their fans went in the huff as he "snubbed" them and returned to Parkhead rather than sign on at the Ewe Camp despite that always being Celtic's plan which Aberdeen knew and agreed to.

Plans to reduce it to 6 loans by end of 2023 season I think also.

I think the B team covered as well Cairnsy.....

Minimum 22 players to be submitted before the season starts.

– If a player plays 5 games for first team he can’t play for B team until next window.

– Max age is U-20 with one U-21 outfield and one U-21 goalkeeper

Saw that sheep shit also BB.
After the embarrassment of a season that the ewes had you would have thought any players we were preparing to give the ungrateful fucks they would be grateful for.
A decent loan move for both parties still imo, even though I thought we could have used scales ourselves for pre season still.
Yet on the bigger picture we still have a choice come the end of the season and the sheep can continue to go fuck themselves if they don't like it

Ange interviewed on Sky saying we are still active in the transfer market and expect some more comings and goings over next few weeks.
As a total guess Gary, and judging upon pre season to date, then Jules, ajeti, McCarthy and MJ would be 4 that really wouldn't be in Ange's plans to much imo for the season ahead.
Question is weather we would increase the wage bill even further with those 4 still on the payroll still?
Still think there could well be more activity still, especially with clubs looking at this 8 loan system in place now, even if I still remain unsure how it actually works still Gary

You'd imagine Jullien and Ajeti are definitely likely to leave. Johnston should leave for the sake of his career. Can't see McCarthy going anywhere, seems to be happy as a bit part squad player, also helps fill the 8 association trained players rule for UEFA.

The way I see it at present regards Jules and ajeti is they are possibly on such high wages that no one else would really be prepared to pay, so trying to sell them remains out of the question imo, and only a loan deal might be the best we could hope for, but little chance of a club willing to want to entertain an obligation to buy either imo.
In turn that's potentially another 2 places taken up in loan's that could prevent development of the younger players.
Agreed about MJ and his injury record is going to make him a hard sell also, yet potential is still there but fail to see if we will ever see that potential with ourselves any longer.
McCarthy still remains a DD panic deal at the time with taking so long to get players in the door with so many covid issues around at the time imo. Seems popular enough within the squad so a better player off the pitch for us than what we get on it, but was never suitable for a 3 man midfield either. Stuck with him still I would say also, regardless of the very limited opportunities if any come his way for the season ahead.
