IF this is actually happening in Scotland, the need for WC moderating threads & posts is a fair point, politics and religion, always a walk in the park eh ? By the way, and this is my own opinion, if you don't get out and exercise the right to vote, you shouldn't moan about the way things are for the country The Tories have never won in Scotland, Labour is not even a shadow of the party from the Jimmy Reid era (Google him if you don't know) and the the Tories reign over Scotland while never having won an election in the north, ever, complacency is what they count on and the love in from the Peepo in regards to being servile to the butcher's apron, gives me the boak It's the same in many countries, the old guys network continues, they're there for all they can get and screw the rest, think about how many sensible, business men you've heard of who are in their 40's 50's even in their 60's and would have the honesty and integrity to run the country for the benefit of all, think of the reason they don't go into politics, it's a stacked deck but stranger things have happened and maybe, just maybe, someone will get into power and make changes for the good of the people, not just for themselves and their cronies who helped get them there Apart from that, go nuts, and 'Don't drink the water' HHI'm thinking, all joking aside, WC may have to start moderating our posts to comply with this 'law'.
As he's the owner if he doesnt he may be held liable for content.
Just a thought.
(right thread noo)
Sorry, should that not be the other way around. If you go out and vote, say labour and they end up acting like Tories, you can't really complain. Whereas, if I don't vote , if got every right to moon about them being twats, it's not as if I voted for them.IF this is actually happening in Scotland, the need for WC moderating threads & posts is a fair point, politics and religion, always a walk in the park eh ? I personally think people these days have to grow a thicker skin. There are plenty of laws in place to stop behaviours, think new bill will just get used and abused. What until you get a chap at your door for mis-gendering someone or something similar.I'm probably in a club of one here but the fact that we have to criminalise bad behaviour is a sad indictment on all of us.
The world has become a very unkind place (putting it mildly) and too many folk think that if other people aren't like them then they are worth abusing.
I don't care what colour people are, I don't care what their sexuality is or whether they identify as another or neutral gender, I don't care what God or no God folk believe in and I'm bemused at those who get their knickers in a twist about what other folk do with their own lives.
IT DOESN'T AFFECT ME SO LIVE AND LET LIVE.
P.S. Ally, by choosing not to vote you are representing exactly what the Tories expect from the working classes. Apathy will keep them in power. Not that long ago only the landed gentry were allowed to have a vote and things have moved on. I always vote because too many women fought and died to give me this right and I will never forget that.
Math has nothing to do with devolution , we're part of the UK still there's been a Scottish government for many years now.Sorry, should that not be the other way around. Whereas, if I don't vote , if got every right to moon about them being twats, it's not as if I voted for them.
Anyway, if your in Scotland and vote in the General election, you will get the government that England vote for. There are more people in London than in Scotland. Do the maths
No it shouldn't, and if you red my post correctly, you'll see that I make the same point exactly about Scotland and the Tories in power in WM, It's everyone's right to exercise their vote, or not, but choosing not to vote, lessens the likelihood of things changing for the better in any countrySorry, should that not be the other way around. I won't get a chap at the door for mis-gendering someone because I'm sufficiently clever enough not to do that.I personally think people these days have to grow a thicker skin. There are plenty of laws in place to stop behaviours, think new bill will just get used and abused. What until you get a chap at your door for mis-gendering someone or something similar.
I can remember when I was younger , in the army, down in England. I called a smelly cunt a blackneck. I had to explain what a blackneck was ie someone who doesn't wash. The guy I said it to was white
A see someone’s obviously had a word in his lug about his comments??apparently he’s going away for the weekend so won’t be in attendance typical hun coward no conviction!!!I see TNT sports have a guy doing co commentary on the Villa v Man City that admits he was going to go and sing anti Catholic songs at the weekend and stuck two fingers up at the new hate crime Bill..
Very poor from TNT Sports.
I too would say I've had a good innings, Ally; I would also say that I've been fairly fortunate in that I've never known a lengthy period without being able to earn and pay my way in life.I just feel Frank that I have lived my life, it's now up to those with more mileage in them than me. As you say each to their ow

Best post yet on this subject, Shammy. No malice; no point-scoring, no political axe-grinding. Just an acceptance that life for many folk is complicated.I'm probably in a club of one here but the fact that we have to criminalise bad behaviour is a sad indictment on all of us.

Discrimination destroys society. Too many people enjoy looking down on other people and you have to wonder what makes them think they're better.Best post yet on this subject, Shammy. No malice; no point-scoring, no political axe-grinding. Just an acceptance that life for many folk is complicated.
As a working class Glasgow bloke I too carried all the inherited prejudices, I too used unforgivable words when referring to people who weren't the same as me. I was straight, I didn't have the wherewithal to realize there was a whole confusing, complicated world out there.
I was ignorant, immature, and completely without compassion in my opinions of
folk; just because, I guess, the pressures of working class society demanded that was the way if should be.....
I hope I've managed to change that outlook. It goes without saying that I can never even begin to understand some things, but I can now say time has allowed me to evolve enough to be able to accept those things I'm never goin' to be able to understand. I now find it easy to say I'm no better or worse than folk I at one time vilified.
Thank you for your wonderful post. You are an inspiration.
I see where you are coming Frank. I too have children grandchildren. But I leave the politics too my daughter as she will vote the way of her conscience for her children. When I was much younger Labour always got my vote and if I voted tomorrow then it's the status quo. I just feel that as I won't see another election I will leave to those who have a future in their hands.I too would say I've had a good innings, Ally; I would also say that I've been fairly fortunate in that I've never known a lengthy period without being able to earn and pay my way in life.
So, it would be really easy to think I don't have to bother too much about where humanity as a whole, and Scotland in particular is headed.
Here's the thing, though, I want my grandchildren to have something my generation, and my parents and grandparents generation, and all Scottish generations post act of union have never had. I want them to have FULL control of their destiny.
I want them to get the government we as Scots actually vote for. That, essentially, is the reason I will always vote.
It really is about more than my narrow self interest.
Ban politics…Just a wee warning that this new legislation is likely to impact football supporters in Scotland using online forums and websites. And with Police Scotland looking at deploying officers to this task then we can be sure that Celtic supporters will be an early port of call. Please be careful about this as we don't want to have anyone from Celtic Noise being pursued by the cops.
If they want to get off to a flyer this weekend they have a Rangers supporting policeman as one of Beaton's assistants running the line. He'll be hearing hate crimes al afternoon, will he not?
Be careful folks.
HH
They've already got to the hens. Scottish Government want to be the first to ban non free range hens, battery hens. Personally I think that's a good move.Oh sorry hen we'll get to you in good time.
Good girl.
Wont see another election??hope that’s a wee slip there ally…hope alls well mateyour quite right mate if you don’t feel your vote changes anything then fuck them!!..I voted for the snp under the independence flag and Alex salmond/ sturgeon team.. but this is a different animal now,,too many pet projects taking precedent over common sense!!!deal with health service,? Roads are a disgrace,,takes an eternity to do some repairs,,been working on repairs on the m8 longer than it took to build it,,,they only speak of independence now when it comes to voting season??a don’t have a problem with legislation that protects people that might feel vulnerable..why would you??I see where you are coming Frank. I too have children grandchildren. But I leave the politics too my daughter as she will vote the way of her conscience for her children.
