If the price being mentioned is accurate and the manager wants the lad, this should be a done deal already. No surprise so many fans are getting fed up with our approach to transfers.

As far as I can see, The Sun published a story on the 2nd January that we had been tracking Kuhn for a considerable time. Yet here we are still haggling with them more than 2 weeks later (over what to our club at least is a relatively small amount) and the deal still has not been finalised yet. Most of the groundwork should have been prepared for all our options/possibilities BEFORE the window opens.

These discussions and negotiations should have been completed in a few days so the player has joined us and integrated & trained with with his new team-mates, for a few weeks BEFORE we restart into a crazy congested period of must-win games again, so he has had a chance to settle and has a better understanding of our system and how his colleagues play.

Yes, negotiate the best deals possible but then don't fritter it away on $800K players from the Korean 2nd division who are not even close to our standards.

And is our recruitment/negotiating team only capable of working on 1 transfer at a time? We should be able to hold multiple negotiations at the same time, as is normal business practice.

Instead, we seem to shuffle along at a snail's pace from one discussion to the next until the deadline looms and we scramble about in a panic seeing what we can get rather than targetting what we really need.

Sem Steijn had a couple of good seasons in Dutch league and this year he's scored 10 league goals in 17 games plays with twente (attacking midfielder) his salary wont be high (if we are going to try and get hidden gems then that's the type we want ...play in a decent league and in starting 11........tbh if anyone on this chat got offered a salary off Celtic we would do better job than current scouts .....I would have us in the red right enough
